What makes this drama stand out is how it combines reality and fantasy so well. The character's are all grey - so they're right and wrong just depending on perspective. You wanna hate but you can also kinda sympathize.
But who am i kidding... the main draw are the FL and ML, both so calm and mature, tropes are still there but their trust in each other and common sense in decision-making is such a breath of fresh air!
I really hope this drama gets all the actors and staff the recognition they deserve. Please drama gods keep this up till the final episode's!!

If you're looking for a sweet drama without the intense melodrama and standard tropes ... this might be just for you! The leads are so natural together and talk situations through instead of continued misunderstandings and hysterics to drag out the episodes. I'm on episode 20 and so far nothing "major" happens but all little things are done with care and quality. I guess a bit like Story of Minglan with more focus on the cooking and relationships - there is no "bad vs good guy" arc and everyones character is fleshed out enough to not be cookie cutter.
Highly recommended if you wanna watch something easy!
Oh this was such a fantastic article ... pray there be a part 2?? A walk down memory lane of all these actors i loved as a kid and looking back at them now compared to the current IT boys is quite interesting! Absolutely nailed it when you said it was more talent than looks from the early 80's. All generations are fantastic, but the OG will always hold a soft spot!
This was watchable .... only coz of the hilarious comments in Viki! Seriously, terrible writing, acting, wardrobe changes (or no changes at some point!) But go in it without any expectations and you may find a good stress releaser with how unexpectedly bad this is!!

This drama was so different to what i expected - i think Lusi is upping her game and slowly coming out of her adorkable typecast and ive realized ive seen Zheng Ye Chen in a lot of dramas but this one he's really nailing! Finally something to look forward to every week with this lockdown !
I love that she uses her brain and heart to fight strong but fair. She doesn't manipulate and puts all her cards on the table because shes confident shes capable and deserving of both love and success. What a Queen!! Loving this drama and all the social topics they are touching on without coming across as preachy or righteous. All the characters are being fleshed out realistically and one hour/2 eps a week just isnt enough!!
Jump on the Itaewon ride! Its hella fantastic 6 eps in!
