Gotta be honest, took a few episodes to get into it, but after passing episode 20 it's soo good and I'm totally on the Untamed Bandwagon! I'm on my 2nd rewatch and picking up things I didn't see the first time. I've seen the anime and read some of the book, serious kudos to the writers for sticking so close to the source novel while also keeping the censorship peeps happy.
Highly recommend - watch with an open mind as it just gets better and better and the actors really make it impossible for anyone else to take on their roles!

After catching up on the latest episodes the General just pulls my heartstrings in all the wrong directions the more he opens up (especially in the episodes you mentioned) and I'm so torn now because I sooo want a happy ending for him! If fate weren't so cruel I think he and the FL would make a much more dynamic kickass couple - even if its just them in the countryside and hes a farmer and she cooks him dumplings every night LOL. I agree with this ... Fu Chou has many ladies offering their lives and unconditional love towards, but hes so set on the FL (even though shes over and over told him she will settle as his family but not lover which is a fair compromise considering the crap shes gone through) and taking his revenge that it all burns him in the end. I still hope he has a reasonable ending *fingers crossed*

I also feel sorry for the general - he's literally got everyone and everything going against him and his only fault is he doesnt go the noble idiocy route and instead actively tries to fight for the women he loves ... and ultimately suffers the most. In saying this, his affection for the female lead is mostly desperate actions and controlled schemes which in some ways arent any better than the typical noble idiocy cliches, but based on his character this is the most believable as the FL is probably the first person to ever see and treat him other than the poor child who needs serious vengeance.

Oh your cast choices are almost doppelgangers of the original cast! The only one I would consider replacing would be the female lead - maybe someone a bit more spunky and adorable! IU did amazing in Mr Ajushi ... this could be a good challenge for her! Awesome article! I am absolutely hooked on this drama from episode 1 and I'm so glad someone else is as obsessive as me .. kinda lol I agree, all the actors are doing an amazing job and really embodying their characters so well. I actually like that they are not super well known or typical wuxia-fantasy looking because their uniqueness adds to their characters. Its entertaining ... but if you really try to follow along and make sense of the plot you'll get frustrated and confused. Love Park Bo Young so will give it a couple more episodes before I drop it like it's hot.
