Skippable story and unbearable acting. The progress of the storyline didn't make any sense. The dead fish kissing scenes were cringe AF. That was basically an extended alcohol ad. That waiter, Choi Wan, reminds me of a young Lee MinHo.
It perfectly addressed the societal issues that the people with hearing impairment have to face throughout their lives, however the creators partially ignored the BL part. Still, the story was nice and the acting was good.
Also, I kinda felt like even though the speed is set to '1', the editors did something to speed it up. Many gestures and dialogues felt a bit rushed. It's a very minor difference that isn't easily noticed but because I usually watch boring dramas on ×2, something felt off.
Born to be the main story, forced to be a spin-off. Seriously, this deserved more, WE deserved more of this. The story is so touching and the acting is crazy good. I thought it'd be a sequel, turned out to be a prequel, which is amazing, I'm sold. NOW, GIVE US THE SEQUEL, WE NEED IT.
Interesting story has Addicted ? Don't make me laugh.
Haha.. You made me laugh for sure. Back in the day, there weren't many BLs to begin with, so for a BL, Addicted was definitely peak back in 2016/17. If I were to compare it to contemporary dramas, I'd honestly give it a way lower rating. Still, at the time I first watched it, it was interesting to me and my little old self thought it was good, so I'm not going to change the rating years later. In addition, what's interesting to you doesn't necessarily need to be interesting to me and vice versa. Please learn to be more accepting of other people's opinions without being offended.
what a beautiful drama... I think Dohoe's behavior might confuse and frustrate many but I understood all of it.…
Totally agree. Well-said. I feel like most of the negative comments don't even understand what the drama is about to begin with. Maybe the complexity of DoHoe's emotions and behavior was too mature for them to interpret. This is why I felt like this drama is way different from other BLs. It's not just about 2 boys in love. It actually has a meaningful story and a very realistic representation of it. It baffles me how people don't seem to recognize a good BL drama when they see one.
The very first and most regretful and traumatic manhwa that I've ever read. Hope this drama never comes to light. The story is too messed up and not in a good way.
I have to say, the threesome dynamic was a bit confusing at times, and the story was not perfect (that gym thrashing…
The gym thrashing scene depicts letting go of your past traumas for a new fresh beginning. The gym symbolizes DoHoe's painful past, and JuYeong was encouraging him to vent his anger and destroy and burn all these painful memories so he could heal and start a new life.
This is a whole new level of BL; top-tier level. Acting was insanely good; a great cast indeed. All the characters were perfectly portrayed. The story and plot are a bit confusing at first, yet phenomenal and well-written. Amazing cinematography as well. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.
