I read your intro and was happy am not the only one who likes finding gems that MDLers have skipped..I love Chen Jingke so I had this on my radar but I wasn't expecting it to be wow..

There was not a boring part for me(just my opinion) am used to thrillers and I think it had the right pacing

They don’t come with the usual crowd-pleasing faces. They aren’t backed by big production houses or aggressively promoted across glossy social media feeds. There’s no manufactured buzz, just solid storytelling. But if you give them a real chance, they leave a mark that lingers long after the final episode.

I adore both leads. Chen JingKe and Gao Ye They are one of personal favorites, true hidden gems. And selfishly? A part of me hopes they stay that way… untouched, uncommercialized, and beautifully underrated.

And 100 episodes of Daytime K-dramas 😂

Unrelated but this is the reason why "Hospital Playlist 2" is still seated pretty in my "currently watching" zone.. Few productions have done a better job with Sn2,3, or more.

I would like an intelligent person I. the room to explain to me in length, with slides and bullets points, why this drama is rated 7.7/10?

You are not wrong, mid-drama felt like a 7.0 for sure but the more it progressed and the split personality started to merge into one( even though I stil didn't like it) some things grows on you.. like Hiro( justice for Hiro) and the cinema and I can't think of anything else..

I remember her in "You are My Destiny" in 2014 and "Last Empress" How can she be 45.!? it's impossible

Hahaha..I was expecting backlash but am glad am not alone.. Honestly if you put in consideration the story construction, this is a 7.8 but I like the ML in general and the FL really did a good job of not becoming the typical kdrama FL.. she was a bright light.

It's a wrap on "Can This Love Be Translated "

The verdict:
1. Too much ingredients and no recipe
2. Back stories popping up everywhere
3. Unused potential w/ the 2ML (SMLS)
4. Duolingo makjang
5. A workholic ML with zero personality
6. Saved by a good cinematography
7. Good character development w/ 2ML
8. 2nd leads gave us better romance
9.Came for the ML, stayed for the FL
10. The double personality arch ruined it.
