In Kill Lover ,I really enjoyed the ML character growth.but even when he was being cruel..he was a man on a mission, seeing how he has protected and followed up the FL entire life..At some point I was like "I want someone to love an entire lifetime" but again I have lived half already LOL
While I was reading up your review I was thinking "how does a show like this get funding?" I haven't watched, will probably never do but what is the conversation that happens between producers and investors when a project sinks like this

Definitely..Short Republic Era are often a hit or miss and more often a miss , remember Circle of love, despite it having one of the best actors Fan Zhi Xin.. and this to me was a miss..I probably watched 40% of the whole thing and I wasn't impressed.. except the ML visuals the rest was a mess
Costume and Republic Era dramas have a distinct styling which tend to age actresses.. I noticed that her hairstyle did that to her and made her look kind weird.. I honestly just skipped through even though I wanted to watch Wanyan Luo Rong in another drama after Kill Lover
He picks this scripts like he is a "hidden cannibal" in Kill Lover he spent lots of episodes telling the FL that…
I made a short comment of it..It's an okay revenge plot with a high quality production.. And I have added him to the list of actors I will watch a lot of dramas of his
FL: thinks she hid well.ML: Strolls into her hideout like its just around the corner.FL: Yi Qiu Ting can't you…
He picks this scripts like he is a "hidden cannibal" in Kill Lover he spent lots of episodes telling the FL that she is too vegetarian for him to "eat" her,he was eating raw liver meeeennn
OMG @Jamesny29 you are like me when am looking for a drama,I will go to the end of the earth to find it..Now am…
Awwww 💕 Am just a drama enthusiast with too much time on her hands.. Midnight Romance in Hagwon was good for me..I never mind slow burns and dark aesthetic and the chemistry was off the chart.. especially that it was seen as "forbidden" by the FL.but the ML was deaf and blind to all that..and you know the more forbidden the more it pulls you in. I have not dug deep into costume dramas except Love like the galaxy and New Life begins..am sure the one you picked is good enough.. YouTube has probably 90% of Cdramas so it's one of the best sources.I do watch without ads and without the premium tag..You know I have my ways 😂
I’ve finally managed to put into words what’s been bothering me about Wanna Be. After watching My Fated Boy, I think the comparison is fair, given both dramas share the same writer. However, while the two series differ in theme, Wanna Be,centered around the fashion/modeling industry, fell short, particularly because that world is driven by numbers, image, and ambition, and I feel the writing failed to capture that convincingly.
Perhaps my professional background makes me more sensitive to things like set design, production quality, visuals, and architecture. And as a romance lover, I’m often sold if the couple has great chemistry;which is why I deeply value reviewers like you who explore beyond the surface
Despite its charm, Wanna Be felt like it was missing something essential. I even lowered my original rating after reflecting more on the gaps. It was a rare attempt at breaking away from the usual tropes.
The writer had plenty of material to develop, especially with the storyline around the abandoned models who ended up wasting away in a club. That subplot had potential, and at the very least, a couple of extra episodes could’ve explored the male lead’s choices after his return.
The female lead's journey as a designer was barely touched, just one sketching scene and suddenly, a full-blown fashion show? It lacked depth.
And I’ll say this every time: the auntie’s implausible romance with the second male lead consumed too much screen time. That time could’ve been far better spent developing other subplots or characters.
From a detail-oriented viewer's perspective, I do think the director, casting, and production teams did a wonderful job. And once again, the male lead didn’t disappoint,he truly delivered.

**This not a debating comment
A dark Revenge/Romance that should be called "A THOUSAND WAYS TO KILL THE LEADS"
