Hahaha..it's alright
Am maturing bit by bit..I used to solder on with a drama but nowadays I just let it go midway if I feel like it is disturbing my peace .the reason why we bury ourselves for hours is to avoid the outside stress after all.
For Chinese dramas the acting us always sub-bar,and the visuals so it's just the narrative that didn't sit well with me..I didn't get how the lead character would be all women empowerment when she is blinding herself from what's happening in her house? Burlt as they say dramas are just our realty,there are many women still doing the same,we all been there..with a front façade while our houses are burning 😂
It us what it is and please don't be sorry..this my own psychological warfare going on in my head

50+ épisodes is the reason I don't watch historical C-dramas except Love like the Galaxy
But My Father is Strange was sooooo good that I didn't even notice.
I think it has to be a really hit from episode 1 to 50 to be able to survive..
It's one of those thing you watch slowly in between other shows

I don't know how it came to me but I have seen the ML in My little happiness and I went in without reading reviews or comments cos it was new..I rarely watch fresh dramas but the moment I pressed play.. Everything I was watching became irrelevant..I went through those episodes like I was being paid..

I was watching "Game of true love" one of the best production I have ever see..of cause anything Fan Zhi Xin is,sign me up.
Anyway back to Wanna Be..I have been in Asian drama kitchen since 2017 and I don't think I have seen any one do Fashion industry theme.And it was well done..
But If I was to give an award that would be to the casting director and creative director..They did wonders.

I personally don't care much about the like of First Frost,The best thing or White olive tree(I dropped it) I feel like we are not growing,we are using the same popular actors,the same tropes,the same storyline..
I need something to hook me up and leave me questioning my existence without breaking my heart into pieces(I see you Angels cry sometimes)

Anyway I can talk about dramas the whole day 😂
I have seen Eagle brothers on my Recommendation..I will have a look.
Am currently going back and forth between
"Once Again" "What happened to my family"and "It's beautiful now" all K-dramas.

I would recommend"My Father is Strange" and "I heard it through the grapevine " these two made me sink into the hole of family dramas

Maybe am losing my cards or I have watched an excessive amount of asian dramas..but I need something that has not been done..
The biggest culprit is C-dramas..at least every now and then you get a good captivating K-drama like the ones that came up in 2024 bit I still go back post 2020 to watch the old OGs
unfortunately in C-dramas,they focus mostly in idol dramas and pretty ,tall and skinny six pièces suits wearing actors born in 2000..
Am becoming aware of what I give my life to.I used to endure and hated to drop drama but am now brave enough to say No..this is not me.
I have even go e back to K-dramas as far as watching the "KBS Family dramas" with 50+ episodes..those suckers were amazingly done..by the time you finish 52 episodes..your DNA has been adjusted..
If you want to watch something new/different that came out this year in C-dramaland but went off radar check out "Wanna Be"..I would like to read your review on it.. Personally I loved loved it..a breath of fresh air.

I have started to drop and ignore anything that is not having me glued on it for first two episodes..
If I hear that somewhere in the middle things go south..Drops
If I hear the ending is crap..Drops
If I hear cliff hanger,open ending..Drops
I need to start making better life's choices

Watch him in Be my princess...killed it
and I have been following him ever since I wish he did more modern dramas

I believe all the new watchers are returnees or newbies after the disappointment that was WTSG..am glad TKEM is getting viewership again,It was one of my first K-dramas so it holds a special place in my heart

The amount of nonsensical dramas we lose our sleep on is becoming too much

Somewhere in this lifetime,I am going to need Jeremy Tsui to do another modern drama..

The reason why am dropping this drama..36 episodes (why does china still do this is beyond) they are way too many for me to invest in.
Am at Ep 11 and I have concluded if a drama doesn't make me hurt my eyes throughout the night cos I can't stop watching it maybe it's just not for me.
Maybe because I have been divorced and went through the whole mambo jambo,Its frustrating when I watch the ML lie and lie again and again without the FL kicking him out..
I see all the flags,I smell the coffee,I can see pigs all over this company and it drives me nuts..I won't even mention her the nonsensical mother and father in-law..gosh how can two old aged adults be so useless..
Anyway am all for women empowerment but as women we have been stupid long enough and we tend to tolerate shitloads,I don't think I need to see it on TV..Or am the problem 😂
