I know its a year late but thank you for mentioning the rating discrimination against Taiwanese and Japanese dramas on this PLatform..For Real i think we have more fangirls than genuine watchers,It drives me insane.I just finished Breeze by the sea,such a good drama but it seating at 7.6

Nobody does Slice of life better than Taiwan,unfortunetly their dramas are underrated unless you are a drama watching legend.
I drop everything am watching and binge a drama from ep. 1-18,that means it has captivated my life and i probably should make better life choices.
I dont remember where I picked it,but it was not on MDL and Funny enough when i was watching this, I kept thinking Hometown Chachacha,Welcome to Samdar-li and Meet Yourself
Then Lo and Behold,the three dramas were recommended under Breeze By The Sea's MDL profile.
Its a normal plot BUT with layers and the scenery takes you in and for many moments you really think you are there in Kinmen Island.
10/10 I will recommend it under slice of life and Hometown tropes

These dramas came to me accidentally I might say,From the art of Negotiation I loved it so much that I started "stalking" the Director,thats how I found out he is the legend behind Something in the rain,One Spring night and HITTGP,I watchesd the first episode and i was sold.Lee Joon found me there or i found him,liked his acting so much that I started "stalking" him(dont we all do this lol) Am a diverse watcher,i have favorite actors but i wont watch a bad drama for them(I see you "When the Stars Gossip" 😆)

How on God's own earth did we watch 481 episodes,but it was soooooooo good that time stood still..This telenovela defined my youth,it sweepped us of our feet and we we were the Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales fandom 😂😂😂

I just finished it few days ago,it consumed my life in a good way, currently fangirling over Lee Joon so watching whatever romcom he is in.Such a stellar actor
I started with "I Heard it through the grapevine" which am still watching ,I was so amazed with him ,it lead me to My Father is strange,i binge watched it mercilessly 😂

Currently obssessing over Lee Joon so this came with him,thats my only excuse

I have actually watched 57 EP drama "Love like the Galaxy" and 52 EP of "My father is Strange" and I must admit that they were both so good that i didnt even notice.100 EPs is another level of commitment

I enjoyed the storyline and the high production quality.New subjects are a welcome fresh air,am tired of the same repetitive tropes,of boy meets girl and 2nd skimming leads

By race and marathon,i meant the pace of the drama

WARNING:THIS IS A PERSONAL RANT NOT DIRECTED TO ANY FANDOM

I might sound old but Am tired with a generation that:
1.Unless the leads are famous A listers with surgery faces,y'all cant watch the drama
2.If by EP 5 there is no 2nd lead skimming at the back,you say its boring and slow
3.God forbid its about real life or business storyline,you start whining in the comment section that its confusing
4.No one notices the other major things that go into making a show like cinematography,casting,Screen writing,editing,BGM and OST
5.There is more to life than pretty face boys and anime looking girls who think acting is putting on a six piece suit and clear gold framed glasses
while walking in slow motion flanked by a running secretary or act like a 3 year old child in a grown up woman body.

Thus being said,I just concluded that this drama will be enjoyed by people who undestand that there are many storylines that have not been told for example what goes on behind the modeling industry which was a first for me and that the repetitive tropes of boy meets girl is old and washed out.This drama deserves more than the rating it has now.

If you bypass the 10th episodes and see the character development,you will actually love this.Life is not a race,its a marathon,different speed and different results.

So no one saw the 100 episodes lol

The year is 2037 and you come accross this Master piece..PLEASE watch it will be a CLASSIC.
THis will be stuck in my head for a very long time.Lee Joon and Lee YuRi the actors you are

The beauty of this drama and the kind is to watch slow,in between other shows..
but this is sooo good Lee Joon that young man is a hell of an actor,I ended up watching My father is strange vos of him

I came here to ask,why is this drama low rated..?Am on Ep 13 but I don't think I have seen such a brilliant well crafted,well written like this story.Dramas back then were really a piece of art..I would give writers ten bows if I met them.Don't worry about the ratings ,if it ever comes on your recommendation,watch it..No regrets

Looking at his filmography and his age,I do not think this young man ever had a day of rest since he was 10
