Am not a Manga reader so whenever I give any manga insprired drama,I have no expections to meet. And when it comes to japanese melodrama I go in looking for winter on a summer day, life lessons or tears.Either way I always get what am looking for..mostly tears, for Japanese writers are gifted at that.
I read reviews and many were positive with a "But" neverthless I saved this for my PWL and I did like it, somehow it kept me on edge because i had a weird feeling that something bad was going to happen, even though many had spoiled the end but who can trust Japanese writers?
Tomohisa Yamashita is a veteran actor and he never does wrong in my eyes and I was thinking he could play Steve Wonder so easly. Its the first time watching any Yuko Araki work but I think she did a stellar job.
Japanese cinematography and production are never up for discussion, they know what they are doing. The story was beautiful,I learnt permenant lifetime lessons on disability, love and the fact that giving up should never be an option. It makes you appreciate your eyes, ears and the ability to talk.
There was some plots holes which I wished were filled but I dont want to mention them to avoid spoiling it.But In a two hour movie, its not easy to close all the gaps.

MAybe we are psychologically wired to think that a ML should be the captain of the ship from the begining of the story.Somehow even when the boys went to SF, the 2ML felt like he was still in charge and had more screen time.Maybe i exepected too much from him but personally it felt like he had a college student mentality who knows he has something that can change the world but is timid to face the giants.I dont even mind the romantic stuff,he would have turned out to be a badass CEO but i remember this being a problem until they chose the FL.He did come in strong in the last 2 episodes but as usual in dramaland writers tend to serve the best wine last.Any way our opinions might differ but that the beauty of life
This is going to be short and short so here we go.
Everytime i get traumatized by a drama,I try to find somethingthat will cleanse my brain palate no matter how cute and childish it is.And this was the best candite.Nothing original here, same old highschool, childhood to adulthood.where the leads grow up together, its like a lighter version of Go Ahead
What I really liked was the ML.He had a commanding chemistry even though It was met by FL natural butterfly character that had a personality of a 12 yr But he kept it grounded and loved her as she was and protected and cared for her alot.
He gave us a surprise of very hot scenes,we didnt know we needed. For those who knew the actor from the k-pop idol group SEVENTEEN were shocked to see how he managed these scenes ,even though he is know to be of a quiet nature so I would really wish he can do more acting.
You could see how he helped the FL to be comfortable in her own skin. Because she was young and getting to experience the romantic side of life. In high school to college tropes its hard to remember the side stories and the technical stuff but I sure would rewatch the last two episodes on a cold night 😉

I dont know but there ws just something off with the way they made the 2ML such a strong and likeable character,to the point whereby before the real ML appeaared,if you hadnt read the synopsis or seen the cast list, you wouldnt know he was there. His character was developed in the very late stage of the show,i think last 2 episodes when he came back fro SF but i personally believe this would have hit 8.5 rating if they had made him stronger earlier..Cos this was actually a good show.

There is a difference between chemistry and romance..Maybe what I meant was romance, THe drama was about business start-up so expecting lots of romance or chemistry is unrealistic
I cant believe that this is my first review of a japanese drama so I will do my best not to scream. honestly believe if there was a K-drama adaptation of this,it would be a bit.And I have few leads in mind Zo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo would slay it..Remember "The winter the wind blows?
Japanese writers live on sadness, they pay their bills with our tears, there is no J drama that i have watchedthat didnt leave me bitter and angst. The only thing I enjoy is how they make the pain short and wrapped in 10 episodes
But for the first time I cried only once and this is a record breaker.I dont know why the title is Perfect world but there is nothing perfect about the story, it should have been calledResilient world because that what the characters went through.Resilience.
Its a beautiful love story of a woman Kawana Tsugumi who falls in love with her high school crush and when they meet years latereven though life hasnt been good to him,she is still in love with him regardless what her surrounding says.Unfortunetly things dont turn out as she hoped for,it seems her fighting spirit can't save the love of her life Ayukawa ItsukiHe has already decided that love to him was not something he should try due to his disabilities and no matter how genuine it feels.
They had a mixture of good and extremily annoying characters that made you want to pull them out of the screen and slap them. Japanese writers are generally wierd and fear nothing in terms of walking on thin ice, they tend to lean toward abnormal storylines that would make editors in other film industries scratch the floors with nails. I won't spoil the rest but be ready to roll your eyes in anger and lots of WTF moments.
Overall,I liked it for it was more on an educational spectrum about disabilities. But I wish there was some good romance in there..Just dose of it would have been perfect Although the powerful vows at the end made up for my yearn for these two to be lovey dovey..
If you don't like XK, then it's your business. We all have different tastes...so move on...hope you'll find someone…
i was replying as you stated it.There was no statement in my comment that sggested that i dislike Xu Khai,I made a comment based on the whole drama..I have no reason to dislike somone i dont know on a personal level.

My comment was not directed to Xu Khai but to the current Cdrama industry overall..Xu Khai is a stellar actor,I just finished "She and her perfect husband" and I have watched at least 100+ Cdramas and Kdramas since 2018I have nothing against him and am looking forward to his upcoming dramas as long as he is paired with a strong FL and the script+production is good. Why not..Just dont judge me based on my observation..cos i wont do the same. You are entitled to your own opinion so am i..me not liking ABAY doent make me a bad person,i based my views on many things that have nothing to do With Xu Kai..Have a blessed day.

MY WATCHLIST DOESNT mean thats the only dramas i have watched...and the fact that my comment is under ABAY doesnt mean am targetting Xu Kahi but yall triggered much that shows whats up

I'm also a woman who doesn't get sway over eye candy actor, xukai is the only actor i could watch any drama he's…
Thank you for your input, but my comment was not directed to Xu KAi directly but to the current drama industry pshychology warfare.I didnt want to judge Xu Kai based on only on this drama,I judged the pairing of him and Tan..She is an amazing actress but she hasnt been able to pull off some trope. So I went on a hunt to find Xu Kai modern drama that is not I fly toward you.(am not a fan of that trope) Luckly i found "She and her perfect husband" and I got to experience his acting.I will write a review soon. Its a noona romance with a strong female character and his character is an introverted genius so for me this is was a golden combination.I think its in the pairing for me..But i have no doubt that Xu Khai is one of the top actors in the industry.I want to see him in more active roles..tHats why i will be waiting for Fire investigator
I like to read reviews that are not biased against a particular actor/actress. You guys save us from unnecessary waste of time. From this day onward I will avoid all Xu Kai dramas until he picks a project with a strong FL or cast..He always outshines everyone due to his idol status which leaves the whole drama in shambles..please don't mention As beautiful as you..it was a mess,on technicalities
Edit: Dont worry I found one."Her and her perfect husband " I loved it now am looking forward to his next project
