I finished it..and I can tell you that I absolutely have nothing nice to say except for the lead actors who definitely did a good job with what they were given..I had already mentally checked out and with time stamp at hand, I knew how the cookie would crumble..Thank you for you review that cemented the exact feeling some of all felt.
Watched it out of curiosity to why everyone says it's a K-trauma and for Lee Joon GI.. I waited for the tears, but nothing came.. it's a Sageuk for goodness'sake, of cause everyone will die..But that was not even the issue,in the place of tears, this drama put me in 5 stages of anger on how the FL was written..yes she was an added character, she is not mentioned in the real story but boy oh boy did the writer use her for every disaster in this storyline.. the main actors acting saved this one. I rest my case..

I have concluded that there is a COVID vaccine that writers and directors were given cos after 2020 this industry just tanked to be honest.. Netflix also didn't make things easy. That's why I keep watching old ones..

Am probably one of the few people who watch a drama that was probably a hit 10 years ago and it is still spoken about years later but go like " why is this rayed high again" ? ohh it's a K-trauma, you will cry, it is sooo good.... naaahh I think it's one of those dramas where the writer turns a strong character into a feather.. Yes some historical events can't be changed but why do character dump to steer up the pot..? You are right, other than great acting from the two MLs..Joon GI and Kang, I have seen better Sageuks.. I might get bashed for this, I think the 3rd prince had more aura and physic to be the lead..I like LJG but his physique was not convincing..Yes he is have are was everything but
