I wasn't following closely at the time, but I got some of the black press about DD's rap V DingYX & YuSX. I thought DF did really well.

Being cynical, I feel when some productions take on 'traffic' actors, they hope not to spend anything more depending on the free 'traffic' gen by fans. Like how they did Xiao Zhan with the 'Longest Promise'. But reducing DD's exposure for 'Salted Fish' doesn't make sense.

I hope it's just a clueless production when it comes to promo, but they're just interested in the craft. Looking at the cast so far gives me the impression they are serious about bringing this story to life. In LQ's case, she may get some notable scenes, but I don't think it'll be changed to a BG as I saw she's due to star elsewhere in 3 months.

What happened with Dafeng? I heard them talk about added scenes, storylines not happening, the production being shady. I thought it was all good on there.

But it is strange that they engaged DD but don't want trends or his promotion, cause that would benefit the drama.

Also, I find it really unlikely they haven't done ANYTHING about casting ml 3/4 (Wei & Ziyi). Even if WD was 1 of the 2, where's the other actor🧐. Honestly, I would've preferred if they hadn't given WD the 'special' title, as this just adds more badness overall. I don't feel WD cares about rank, he's been ML 3/4 on 'fairy 4' before.

Huh, what happened? I know some weren't happy with the extra cast titles at the boot & they seem to be losing trust in the production (some).

With WD, the 'special' invited/ actor & how they haven't named their chars, + the number of male support actors don't add up to what's expected, does seem 'interrrresting'🤔.

I can imagine DD as a 'salted fish' & SQJ, but both chars weren't what I expected going in ( which is refreshing ) & the book is openly 'Brother Hoooood' thru & thru. I hope they keep this as the dynamics of the3 will be a good watch😅.

I dived into the book part way, so I haven't seen the 'green tea wolf-dog' version WZY, but I'm getting a gentle & kind Wei Ping, so it looks like he'll change when SQJ finds out who he is. I haven't seen Ziyi yet but this assassin Lin Feiyuan, if WD is a guest, I can see him playing him too🥴.

The production is wrapped up tight. If Cesar & poss WD are not in either roles, that means 1/2 actors have been kept back, the numbers aren't adding up.

Also, I read some of the book randomly, chapters 85-103 : 1st Wei Zhenyu/Ping is described as 'ordinary' looking. He calls SQJ 'senior,' but it doesn't say he's younger (maybe in the earlier chaps), but it's in rank SQJ is 'senior bro'. 2nd, it's actually a challenge for both DD & WD as they'll both be playing against type. SQJ is zen, calm & mature, while WP is timid, subservient, and smiley. If the casting 🍉is correct, it would be interesting to see them do this. And it's defffo 'brotherhood' heavy, more than I expected lol🤔🥰.

I saw! I'm actually excited, this line-up looks good! As for Special Guest Actor, even the cn commentators aren't clear what it means. So he either isn't Wei Zhenyu/ is a smaller part/ it's their kind way of saying 3/4 ML😅.

WD is Wang Duo, he was in 'The Blossoming Love' recently, + been in 'Bloody Romance', 'Yin Yang Master: Dream of Eternity', etc.

Not to bring toxicity here, but did you hear anything about a fight on WB between the fandoms😒, really it's 2 WD black fans who provoked a fight. They're part or a weird group who called themselves 'momo'/ nanny fans but they're anti's, they've been been reported x2 for malicious/ porno & harassment to WD before.

Unfortunately they decided to post porno stories involving DD & put him down, they got what they wanted, which was to provoke an attack back on WD & his legit fans as they've been bitching that they were reported in the past. They have weird love/hate obsession with him, basically they're weird sickos.

TBH, I'm so pissed as this lot have been like this for a while, & they jus start again when their accounts get un-frozen. Now, 'some' DD fans are asking for Duo to leave as they're saying he'll bring down the project. This is actually what these d*ck heads wanted🤬. Sorry to rant😅.

These rumours might actually be true for once. You prob already know DD left the same place later, + a friend said the girl in front of WD is Wang Herun. I'm curious if LQ will show up.

I get the age issue, but if true, there's got to be a reason why the casting dir chose him, and it can't be cause he's someone powerful😅. Some were saying he'll be good as he's a 'Green Tea' char... sounded like an insult lol. But is Wei Zhenyu a villain?

I read summaries of the chars & it is diff from the usual BG Xianxias, so it'll be interesting how they'll have LQ (if true) in the story. There's also 'some' not wanting WD for Wei Zhenyu, they want him as Ziyi Wenshu. Do you know why?

OMG, Suz, WD might actually be on this. He was seen in Hengdian today. I thought it was fake as he worked with DD not long ago, + he was rumoured for the Bai Lu drama🧐.

True, about big names. The reason I'm thinking 'it's not him', is that the most recent traffic dramas were influenced by capital. They tend not to have 3 casts above 30, with 2ml or 2fl from g/b bands. If they don't do that, I'll be well impressed.
I heard there's 2 chars he could be. The FL's cousin (has his own loveline), or the ML's brother (unrequited love😏). We'll have to wait until May now...
