But the thing is, it wasn't just some; thousands were. If you go to TTEOTM's Douyin page, you'll see the number of people complaining about it are no joke. Every recent video of TTEOTM I see in Douyin there are comments like that with thousands of likes and people agreeing to it and it's just in Douyin. 😖

A lot of C-netz, who complained last night and until now about the BGM not being emotional enough and not having that "sense of fate" and wanted the BGM to be changed to "Mysterious Bird" and that the actors acting carried the whole Jumping Tower scene and TTJ carrying YSW in the snow, have paired that particular BGM to the radio show. And if I'm being honest, they do match, the BGM came so timely that it would've made it MORE emotional.

Lmao, true, they made TTJ a wise ruler but dumbed down SS. Unfair! I loved how SS's brain worked in the novel, and she wasn't as "forgiving" towards Bitchang as she was in the drama.

Fr, it's not like she enjoys lying to him. TTJ is a morally gray character, and just like he said, others may now see him as a God now, but later they might perceive him as a Devil. Can SS gamble whether or not he'll turn into a devil? No! SS only has ONE chance to change everything; she can't afford to make even one single mistake or gamble on TTJ's feelings because the future is unknown, she's literally waking on thin ice, and for her, who has seen the Demon Lord's tyrannical reign over the realms, his evil nature, and the massacres he's committed. Even though his circumstances have turned him into this, he is still a great risk to the world. 

She already sacrificed a lot for him (giving her eye and taking on his world-alluring jade curse) and will continue to endure great suffering because of him. The heroine is not without flaws; sure, some of her actions may seem questionable, but she has her reasons, which others might not understand since they are not in her shoes (the only thing I can't understand is WHY she stopped TTJ from killing Bitchang; that would've been a great opportunity😭😭).

Sometimes, one just needs to look at the bigger picture here. 

Sadly, it might take quite some time for the drama to unveil all the secrets and clear all the misunderstandings.

I agree; at this rate, I just wish they followed the same TTJ in the novel; the screenwriters whitewashed TTJ too much to the point that YSW seems to be the only one who can't be trusted, a hypocrite, and every move of hers is seen as wrong and is always criticized. Also, talking about trust, it's not like YSW is the only one of the 2 that doesn't trust the other; hell, they claim they love each other but are always on the lookout for whatever their beloveds are doing. They don't trust each other enough that even YBC's cheap scheme was enough to drive a wedge in their relationship.

Besides, Xiao Lin is an upright and good person; that reason alone is enough for YSW to save him, not to mention that XL looks and has the same temperament as Gongye Jiwu. Lmao, I just read your comment again and noticed you already mentioned XL looking the same as Jiwu.

In the novel, it didn't happen on the wedding night but rather 2 or 1 day just before their wedding. She received a message that her grandma was in the hands of the 8th prince, so she tried to go and save her but was ambushed. When TTJ saved her, she saw it as a chance to try and kill him since he was so close to her and his attention wasn't focused on her, but in the end, she failed to impale nine nails because YBC gave TTJ the heart-protecting scale. When TTJ asked her, in confusion and pain, why she did it, YSW answered that, in the first place, her sole purpose was to kill him. TTJ doesn't even want to believe it because didn't she say that she wanted to be his empress?

The drama version is more painful since it happened on their wedding day, the only time TTJ let his guard down.

I just said that mermaids are pretty overused since every time I see an underwater character, they are either mermaids (like in Blue Whisper, Ice Fantasy, LAR, etc.) or water dragons. So seeing clams is a breath of fresh air.

Popularity comes with a lot of haters, and although TTEOTM keeps on breaking records left and right, it's undeniable that they have a lot of haters who will smear mud at them after all the heat they received in just the promotion days; how much more now that they are airing and are still going strong. Take the first day of the premiere for example; in just a couple of hours, there are already a lot of trending topics body-shaming Lou Yunxi, how the costumes are "too colorful," how the makeup of the female leads are too bold, etc. So it's not surprising that they got that score, but it doesn't matter because I'm sure it will go up in the next couple of days.
