That was my first thought because I think the story has a optimistic worldview but I try not to speak for orphans because I dont know what it feels like to be one. Sometimes theyre moved from home to home in the foster care system (U.S.A.) or grow up in orphanages not ever living in any home. These kids just had a home, and was not a ward of the government. A person who have experienced being an orphan may find the drama has too much of a optimistic world view and not encouraging, but then another person who experienced being an orphan may really enjoy the story.

I wanted to watch more Kim Jae Hoon dramas after watching Oppa Saranghae. This is my first BL drama. I didnt know what to expect but I really enjoyed the story and getting to know each character. That doctor Lin is hilarious! ๐คฃ Qian is a wonderful man and deserves all of the happiness in the world and to be cared for like he cares for his family. The writers didnt give enough attention to Yuan's story as a orphan who didnt have any parents nor a home. So how do we know if he wasnt just beholden to his saviour with codependency from abandonment? Because he said so? ๐ค The audience deserve better than that especially because he grew up to mirror the kindness and compassion of Qian. One important thing for young women, that I want to point out about San Pang and Li Li's story is that if Li Li answered "I dont know" or "I'm not sure." about Pang's intentions, then he is NOT honorable! Those should be fighting words for any parent. Pang, however is a goofy sweetheart and trustworthy friend. ๐ ๐

Yes it is just exactly how I described. It was invented as vulgarity by slow witted men who actually can not write poetry and do not know anything about writing music without any formal study of music. Infact they hate education. The most illiterate men on the planet in stastistics today. They have influenced billions of people to degeneracy and devalue of education and lower standards of living. Their music have enslaved the minds of billions and normalized violence leading to mass shootings among groups of young people. Something that they can never take back nor repair. They also do not feel that they should. There is valid reasons that this music is banned in some countries. The orginators of rap music threatened bodily harm on Tipper Gore and Delores Tucker who criticzed their explicit lyrics in the 1980s. Rap music is the reason why Parental Advisory was invented.
Choi Woo Hyuk in this drama isnt the same character as in "The Mermaid Prince: The beginning" to me. They're just men who look the same, with the same name but two different illness. I dont really think the FL was a adequate match for the ML and it has a open ending that I dont think should be Choi Woo Hyuk visitng her. They were the most annoying and rude guests and I almost feel sorry for the man being so lonely that he tolerated the lot of them including the FL with a generous nature.
Great friendships. Very lighthearted romance but more about friendships. They all learn to be more truthful and honest with each other. I liked all of the characters. The writers and directors did a great job portraying the uncertainity of relationships, epecially for young people and didnt give any absolute picture of relationships and love. I didnt get any cliche 'happy ever after' vibe even though the FL allude to fairytale endings. Only possiblities. I think that is what the writers and directors were going for even though I would love to see the ML and FL together forever, ideally. ๐๐
Talented and handsome young man, Moon Bin. He was dedicated to his work and pushed himself too hard. I wish he would have ate better and was more nutured. In one of his last stream, he spoke about being hungry, which I can hear in his voice was an occassional thing and something he struggled with. He struggled with his weight. I can see in his facial expression during his stage performance that he chastise himself even during performance but then he smiles and I can see in his expression that he loves his work. We lost a great talent and if he could have held on and stayed just a little longer, the world would have loved him more. When I discovered today that this young man had passed away, last year in April, I cried like a baby and felt such a loss even though I didnt know him. I wanted to know his thoughts and why he was alone and had no one to talk to. I feel better knowing that he is resting in peace now and is no longer sad and dont have to worry so much. I am grateful for being able to see his talent and hear his voice. His song "Dream Catcher" has captured my heart. I hope I can meet him someday on the otherside and thank him so much for being a blessing to the world. ๐

I'm not saving this drama to my watch list but I did want to write a few words about it on the heel of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Horrible plot. Kinda offendsive to real victims. Some women who are surviors, would've wanted to be warned about some guys like this but this girl disregarded a sincer warning to get what she wanted. I have no patience for this type of behavior nor disregarding embarassing their parents. Dont embarass yourself. Dont embarass your parents and dont embarass God. Simple rules to live by. That is all.
The moral of the movie is discipline. To watch 2:25 hours with expectations of something mysterious is happening takes discipline. The ML practiced discipline throughout the film. The last scene, even takes discpline to not laugh.
