Congrats to the whole team for topping the charts of most talked drama and actors last week. Also congrats to Kim Taeri for being chosen as MVP of the Year in the drama category at the 'K-Culture Trend Forum' for this role. Hopefully more awards will follow.
That's it! I'm dropping the drama after finishing episode 8. It's just a bad show. They're just taking the piss…
Did you expect a DRAMA to be happy and light with no struggles at all for the protagonist? She's gifted but that doesn't mean one has the easy route to stardom, especially in a country where hardwork is not easily recognised and even when one coughs up blood it may be even glorified and called necessary or bare minimum (I'm totally not speaking about today's idols).
Why does it feel forced? Because Jeongnyeon never cared about being better than Yeongseo? The thing is I think it makes a valid reaction after her closest "friend" told her she would ruin performances and is not as stable as her rival. Jeongnyeon cares about Juran more than anyone and this course of action showed how truly desperate Jeongnyeon was to be "good enough" for her only true friend.
but what Joo-Ran affraid of Jeong-Nyeon is really came true. Jeong-Nyeon cant control herself and ruin her partner's…
This time around it was more about Jeongnyeon being stubborn and influenced negatively by Hyerang..I think what she really ruined was herself with this self-sabotage.
Hyerang has no excuses anymore. What she did was vicious and out of stupid desperation. And the worst is she doesn't regret what she did because she recognises it's wrong, instead she pretends to regret it and cry because she doesn't want the only person she cares about to hate her...
I mean Jeongnyeon was wrong to assume her friend would partner 100%, but Juran could have talked to her beforehand, instead of getting passive aggressive later...Also I understand that to hear all her mistakes from her closest friend's mouth must have hurt Jeongnyeon deeply. In the end I'm glad Jeongnyeon has the chance to deepen her relationship with another troupe member now.
Loved this episode. Probably the best one so far. I have so many questions about Hyerang and Okgyeong tho...
Hyerang doesn't even anger me. I feel pity for her because she is unable to accept change and challenges. It's always tragic when you are stubborn and immature and realise too late that you're the one pushing away the person you're supposed to love and protect.
Hopefully more awards will follow.
The last episodes had a so on the edge of the seat ending that got me obsessed. The waiting is painful.
