Tis article is really interestingm though I already like the filmography style of The Double, I did ot realize all this nuances, thankyou very much for bringing it up, I even want to watch this drama again now.
I was in search of an age gap romance, don't judge we all have phases, and I knew my best bet would be in a lakorn, this is when I found this one. Some observations based off the article: Weir really freaked me out acting all soft spoken, well mannered and proper, but he delivered; (Specially when yu take in consideration that I looooooooooove him in Occupied Heart) Lada definetely has a father complex, this girl gives classes in how to dadddy issues; It was... interesting (?) to see Than trying to impose barriers to himself in regards to Lada by refering to her as "Kid". I have finished watching it and I liked it, it fulfilled very well what I was searching for. Positives: Story builds well why Lada falls in love with Than and vice versa; Lukkeaw was a surprisingly good character; Relationships among the characters are clear and well maintained; Very slow burn which I enjoy sometimes. This are my negative points: ending of the shameless lakorn ladies could have been more satisfactory; I though some of the last episode was pure unnecessary filler; the second couple could have a more.... bumpy (?) and therefore interesting development,; Tai is an idiot an I can't understand at all why he was in a realationship with See to begin with, though Euro is hot and delivers a very charming perfomance which explains Soun being sooo into him.
In resume: Is it a problematic lakorn? For Sure. But if you are searching for age gap romances I do reccomend it.
I really liked this artcle, it was very funny, though I think I am more like Enny, I can be really into a characther or actor ad love them forever, but I know they are ou would be terrible boyfriends, like Yoo Shi Jin and Haiba Jin. Also, I think this is a great exercise to know if you can identify green and red flags when the guys are so unbelievably hot...
I didn't want to, but I have really high expectations about THK, I'll be so freaking sad if it's bad.... Ç_Ç please please be good, I don't wish for a masterpiece but at the very least good enough to be rated above 8 Ç_Ç
I love Go Ahead, so I have high expectations for Famyly By Choice, and I am enjoying the fact that they are changing bits and pieces of the original so is not boring for fans of the original drama.
This was such a let down after being a fan of the leads! It wasn't the fault of the actors, it was the poor script…
"The ML's niece basically saved this show in my opinion." totally agree, the ML's niece storyline was far more interesting than the main couple, one could even say it was the basically the interesting and engaging part of the drama.
I love love Bai Lu, love Wang Di, love love Wei Zhe Ming, but man... I never tried to hard to like a romance drama, by heavens it was definetely not their best work D: and I really really love light romance dramas.
The actress who interprets Wanning is soooo good! Whenever the camera turns to her you can be sure that she will deliver. And I am really happy to see Wang Xing Yue as the ML, he is basically the only thing that I like in Amidst a Snowstorm .
I really loved it! Nadech and Yaya are great together, and I really like Nadech in this kind of role. However, I have two critiques: 1) The ending, when Princess Alice leaves her throne and all the royalty roles to be together with Win, I felt it had a lot of "she had to choose between her career and love and couldn't handle both" vibes. I know she says since the first episode that she didn't choose that life and that she would rather be a commoner, but even then I felt that it wasn't fair to her. 2) The villain being the "crazy envious woman", Idk if I watched too many lakorns in the last few weeks, but I am tired of this troupe, always women agains women, envious of the other success, it's being a while since I've seen a healthy female-centred relationship in lakorns... Like her only friends were her servants... Maybe I thought too hard about this.
