I will say the biggest difference for me between the two seasons is how much charisma and acting skills Zhang Ruo Yun has acquired in the meantime, he literaly shines, you can not take your eyes off him, and so FanXian feels both old and new to me in this season!

He feels really like a "hero" now ?! I dont know if i'm clear, but I'm loving it!

I finished season 1 hours before season 2, and I found the transition perfect, especially with the 5 years gap.

The only thing that bother me is the whitening filter/make up they have going on, their skintones are all offs.

The scene between Yan BingYun and his father was so wholesome and heartwarming 😭😭😭!

I really really love Jin Chen, but I'm having a hard time reconciling her with Ling Er. Probably because the actress portraying her in the first season left a very strong impact. But also because where Ling Er was brutal and in your face and a bit silly, Jin Chen didn't give even remotely this kind of characterization. She appeared meek and erased.

Because there are different episode releases for different platforms. VVIP on Tencent have the extra episode, but it's for chinese viewers. International audience gets the VIP release schedule if you will.

It's a new law, the money must come out of the actor pocket, it can not be the production. This law passed due to the abuse by lazy actors of their dubbing counterpart pulling all the weight of the acting while they did the bare minimum on screen.

I find season 2 incredible already, and I know the storyline will make it eepic down the line!

Actually loving this season YanBingYun, the actor portraying him is very nuanced in his acting, and much less wooden than in season 1, where he was downright infuriating.
