This show produces flawed, morally grey characters for us to scrutinise and watch develop in ways weโve yet…
Listen, I've had sex when I was "tipsy", and I knew what I was doing, and the other person would have stopped if there had been any indication it wasn't consensual. I enjoyed it and that was that. Some of these "sexperts" would say I was raped, regardless of what I know to be true.
They want to make Porsche into some innocent, awkward little boy, who can't make the "Big Bad Kinn" go away. Porsche is Kinn's bodyguard. He can damn sure guard his own body. He wasn't so drunk that he was incapable of defending himself. Kinn found that out when Porsche slapped him into another reality. Got him all the way together.
I'm totally in agreement with consent. I preach it. But I also know context is important, and the way I sexually interact may be different than someone else's.
You clearly see Porsche push Vegas away, when he tried to get physical. Waaay different response than what he gave Kinn. Porsche didn't want Vegas to kiss him, and he made that known.
Sex is sometimes complicated, as far as what turns us on, who it is, and under what circumstances, and folks who have never had sex (and it's obvious, based on the comments) are making everything black and white. When it is black and white (Porsche and Vegas), then we call it what it is.
Didn't they watch it properly? Kinn nods his head like asking permission before disrobing Porsche. When will they…
Yeah, that's part of that creepy thing many BL fans do - infantilize grown ass men. I knew it was going to be problematic, when folks kept speaking about him, like he was some "lost bunny" in the mafia forest.
Yes, Porsche is "cute" (he's fine as hell, actually), but he's a grown man. He's not some sexually awkward teenager. He adapted to the ๐ quickly, and...he ain't looked back, and yes, he's wanted more since the first time. He's been dreaming of Kinn's "second gun". Sorry kids.
We clearly see the head nod from Kinn, and from that point, it's joy and splendor till the episode credits.
These kids need to leave the sex discussions to the grown folks.
People are really out here on the internet saying that episode 7's "mutual masturbation" scene was not consent…
I hate to say this, but a lot of BL fans aren't very smart. I don't know why that is, but it's very apparent.
How anybody can conclude that sexual encounter wasn't consensual is beyond me. They're basing it off a translation they read - and they're too young to understand sex and how the dynamics can change, during a sexual encounter.
Consent is given at that beginning, and it's assumed to continue, UNTIL the other person removes their consent. I don't need a man asking for consent every second of our sexual encounter. If he does something I don't want, I can let him know.
Porsche is not the "soft bunny" some think he is. He's fought Kinn before, and slapped the hell out of him for SPEAKING out of line. He's a martial artist - he could do Kinn some damage. If he wanted to get away from Kinn, there would be nothing Kinn could do. Porsche is a power bottom. Don't let the "cute adorable" fool you.
Not a favorite. Poor script and acting. These kind of shows used to be bearable, but I can no longer eagerly participate. It was cute, and fizzled out. The storyline was weak, and Joong deserved better. Hopefully Dunk will improve with future projects.
Those who read the novel based on what weโve seen do you think weโll FINALLY get a good start to VegasPete…
I haven't read the whole novel, but I don't think they can really do the Vegas/Pete story justice, with the main leads, and a side couple, the dead-not-dead ex, etc. Don't be surprised if they end the first season with a Vegas/Pete cliffhanger, and then run with it in Season 2. We need a Season 2 anyway. Hopefully the wait won't be as long. But I really don't want them to rush their story. I'd rather they leave it alone and do it right.

As a person who didn't notice the toxicity at first and later was able to look past most of it, I still don't…
It's okay to complain about toxicity. It's also okay to not complain about it, depending on the show.
I can do "silly and unrealistic" with the best of them. But "creepy and predatory" can be a problem for me.
I don't like when grown-ups are styled to look and act like kids. Kuea was bad enough, but Diao? Yuck. The relationship he had with Yi was like a "son", and they added some sex. There were too many "wtf?" moments with those two.
Did I continue to watch? Yes, because I have a thing for Zee. But I'm not doing it again.
I know how some of y'all are. ๐

Too many kids watching this show.
