There is nothing wrong with debating it. Many people interpret it differently considering the majority leave their…
Plus, in the series, Porshe confronts Kinn about "hurting him", and then when Kinn claims "ownership", he tells him to "go ahead", and waits for a kiss, and gets curved with a replacement notice.
My take? Porsche is in denial, even about enjoying their sexual encounter. He's struggling with his identity as a completely heterosexual male, and his strong sexual attraction to another man. So it's easier for him to rationalize that Kinn assaulted him.
Blue Burin Utumpon? Who is he in the series? Was he one of Kinn's "playmates"? The guy he had pushed up against the window, while thinking about Porsche maybe? Lol.
That guy was delicious 😋 I was like, "WHO is that???"
I can't believe people are still debating whether it was SA or not ... listen IT WAS SA even the character himself…
If you're easily offended, and folks who like to rant in judgement often are, you may want to stop reading now.
Here it is: You do not get to decide how others should think about a show. You don't get to shame people, claiming to "not understand" how people can dare to think differently than you. It's a big world.
It's people like you, who always show up in the comment section, guns blazing, trying to "correct" individual interpretations/opinions - in this instance, under the guise of "taking a stand against SA". When people like me clap back, then you wanna whine about being bullied - never getting that trying to strong arm people into seeing things with your eyes is closest to bullying.
Do you know there are people who have actually been r*ped who will have different opinions about that episode? For real. Get out and actually interact with people. You'll learn a lot.
Comparing Kinn and Porsche's relationship with Vegas and Pete? Naw.
I came to give my review and came across a comment that was bullshitting about the " not up for debate SA " crap,…
Exactly, and then when they get dragged (I may ignore and I may drag, depending on my mood), they whine about being "bullied". Every conflicting opinion is not an open invitation to have that opinion invalidated, evaluated, changed, etc.
I'm bored...as in I literally fell asleep. Yuki is the eye candy, but his character has no substance, so even he can't hold my interest. I don't know if I'm going to last till the end.
He better cuz I don't want their story to start too late
Yeah. I actually wish they had started their story a little earlier. Rushing thru it will make it harder to understand how they become lovers. I don't want them to plow thru it, because it's an interesting storyline, regardless of how one may personally feel about abuser/victim relationships.
I'm done with this series, that "romantic rape" plot is not my cup of tea
The show doesn't "romanticize" rape. I will say the series did not do a good job with the whole "drugged sexual encounter" scene. It left out so much, and made it seem very non-consensual. But the sexual attraction between Kinn and Porsche was already there, before Porsche was drugged. That's why when he was drugged, the truth came out - in his words, and in the way he touched/kissed Kinn. The old saying, "A drunk man tells no lies" applies here.
In the book, Porsche was drugged...with an aphrodisiac, and was extremely horny and the only way to get relief was to have sex with someone. He begged Kinn to find him a woman - but that wasn't an option, so he begged Kinn to "take care" of him. He even told Kinn, "I know what I'm doing..." Kinn was not eager to have sex with a drugged Porsche, but f*cking the drug out of his system was the only way to go, and Kinn was the best option.
Porsche's awkwardness with Kinn was more because he struggled with the fact that he'd had sex with a man - not that he was "raped". In the series, he confronts Kinn, as if he just took advantage of him, in his drugged state. Again, I don't know why they chose to write the scene in a way that leaves ALL that out, but that's not how it went down in the book. You still may think the same, and that's fine...that just means this series isn't for you, cause baby, Vegas and Pete? They'll tone it waaay down from the book.
Poor Porsche. So conflicted and hurt. Again, I wish the series had kept the book version of the drugged Porsche incident. Anyway, the scene where he confronted Kinn, and told him "Go ahead and do it", and he thought Kinn was about to kiss him (which he wanted), but instead he said he was replacing him - the look on Porsche's face reached down to my soul.
For me, Episode 5 is my favorite "version" of Porsche - the serious, vulnerable, conflicted, trying-to-prove-himself Porsche. Apo is doing a great job - Porsche communicates so much with his facial expressions. Mile is....Mile. I could look at him all day. Both Apo and Mile are beautiful men.
Pete is such a love bunny. He's just adorable, and manages to look incredibly sexy in all black. I could devour him, in one sitting....those bare, muscled arms had me feeling that way. I struggle with Vegas. The series has me warming up to him, but he hurts my baby, and that's going to be hard to take, plus Vegas is also hot. Lol. Kinn Porsche is a feast of male Thai goodness. What can I say?
Tankhun is so hilarious. I want him to have his own show - I haven't recovered from him slapping Vegas upside the head with that tray , in last week's episode.
Side Note: You know who I would have loved to have seen in this series? Nani from F4 Boys Over Flowers. He's stunning...delicious actually, and they had him pushing Kentucky Fried Chicken, with some half-baked relationship that was boring, and just thrown in. Total waste. I think he could have made an excellent "Kim" (Jeff is my baby, and nothing wrong with him in the role) but Kim doesn't play a major role in the series. I would have wanted him in a prominent role.
This show....lol. Surprise proposals are bad ideas, in general. Lian should have waited, because the air was still a little too thick to continue, as if nothing happened.
Kuea's mama and/or Lian should have told him the truth, long ago. He already looks like he's 15, and the whole "we want to protect you from bad things.." perspective isn't appropriate for someone about to get married. Is he a baby, or a grown man? Life is not all good things.
Secondly, Yi and Diao? Weirdest relationship. They make Diao's character look so young, and the way they interact makes their relationship seem predatory - same could be said of the main couple, but it's especially noticeable with these two. Diao has a...curfew? He was told "It's time to go to bed" by his "daddy", and rushed off the phone?
Wow. Someone doesn't read thoroughly because many of us qualify our opinions in detail. Some of us cite very specifically…
I love it! ! I agree 100% with every word, especially the part about people not having to justify why they don't like a show. Their opinion doesn't need the approval of "the group". This isn't high school....wait, is it?
Repeating an entire cycle of mediocre themes and incoherent plot? Or the whole weekly MDL thing where we post…
Lol. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it. People get fight-ready, over opinions that don't match theirs. Some of the writing for these shows is horrible...cringey and bad.
People be criticizing New's acting but forget he's new to acting. NTM, he and Zee have AMAZING CHEMISTRY together…
I didn't forget he's new. Also, there are some new actors who knock it out of the park...they're naturals. A lot has to do with the director, the script and the chemistry - the first two lack, in my opinion, and that's often the case in Thai dramas period.
I think you're thinking in a more mature way, than most. A lot of people who watch these dramas don't really think…
Okay. Then don't read my comments, big baby. I was talking about you, and you got mad. There are people in the world really experiencing bullying, and you're whining about what I said? Use the block option, and save yourself. You know where the block option is, right? Need help?
