The third episode was probably my favorite. Porsche is losing some of his goofiness, and getting his skills together to step in his position as the bodyguard of a Thai mafia prince. It's time to tighten up, because there's folks on the inside who aren't on Kinn's side.
It's getting serious, and this was a good lead in, because the evolution - their relationship, and his settling into his role, should not be rushed. Can't speed thru and do it justice. There's a lot to cover, and it all can't happen in 14 episodes, so the timing of the storyline has to be meticulous, or it's going to crumble.
I'm purposely being very conservative with my praise, because it's too early. I will say I think the casting is perfect, and I'm looking forward to how it all progresses.
I wouldn't say I love this but i would not even say that I didn't like it. It's just in between. My thoughts for…
Ren was the best choice... but even he didn't step in and stop Thyme. He offered her refuge, but didn't take a stand in the thick of it. He should have stopped Thyme in the shoe scene when she kicked Thyme to the ground. They all stood there and watched him bully a girl. That's hard to overlook for me.
I hated the direction Kavin and Kaning's relationship took. They made her look like she just had her 13th birthday, and Kavin was too mature/worldly for her. It always looked like an older guy pursuing an underage girl. I could see a big brother/little sister relationship, but not a romance. There was no chemistry for me.
MJ was my favorite AND most disappointing, as far as his role. He was the best looking, funniest and very "pro Gorya". He was the most level headed and warm of the quad. Always the voice of reason. There was too little of him, and those little breakaway spots with that girl were nothing more than KFC commercials. I had no interest in their relationship. I wanted a back story, but never got one.
I’m quite hesitant in posting this as some people here sees a negative comment and it equates to being an anti,…
Always share what you think. Don't worry about what others may say. It's okay to have a negative opinion. It wasn't that great of a show to me and the plot was messy... all over the place.
Gorya's lack of character development was spot on.. so was Thyme's. He changed, until there was a major bump in the road, and then he's ready to go back to the old Thyme. Everything was rushed.
Chile, you need to take a break for a week. You sound delusional and obsessive. Telling folks what to watch, based…
With all due respect, I don't agree with you. Her entire post is combative and she ends with this:
"We viewers can enjoy it. DEAL WITH IT, or stay the hell out from it". 😂
That was not necessary, and indicative of major attitude. Go back and read it. People can watch whatever they want. I generally don't like those kind of dramas, but sometimes I watch for the actors. I can do that.
I meant every word I said.. Folks need to stop taking opinions on these shows personally.
New viewers of this show: if you don`t like enemies-to-lovers kind of trope and don`t find it remotely realistic…
Chile, you need to take a break for a week. You sound delusional and obsessive. Telling folks what to watch, based on your inability to accept opinions that don't match yours is problematic. What is wrong? Is this your life?
I don't know how old you are, but you sound like a kid having a tantrum.
The people in this series don't know you. This is a fictional story. Nobody has to like it. I'm gonna say this, to make you come even more unglued - some of y'all praise some of thee most mediocre series - the production, acting and storyline will be straight trash... and y'all act like it was made on God's throne.
People have criticized shows I love. You don't see me writing rebuttals, like I wrote the script. It's stupid to expect everyone to feel the same.
While I won't say this show was trash, but it's not all that... to me, and I'm sure there's others who feel the same, but they're reluctant to share, because it triggers the Angry Birds.
The Diao/Yi story is taking too long to resolve. Tell Diao what you need to tell him, and let's move on. The show is almost over, and they're just weird.
Zee and New? It looks like a 30 year old preying on a 16 year old boy, to be honest. He looks and behaves like a boy, not like a grown man who's inexperienced, but still an adult. All that awkwardness and hiding under the sheets, after they had sex... that was supposedly energetic, according to Lian.
I had high hopes. The plot is lost somewhere, and it's too late in the game to find it. Now they're going to rush the end.
The average rating is way too high! This show didn’t make anything new or fun with the old cliches and only…
Absolutely...and the craziest part was the girl (who was supposed to be Gorya's friend) who ended up obsessing over Thyme...to the point of actually wanting to be with him, after his abusive behavior - Gorya had to intervene.
That was weird... strange. It goes beyond not being "realistic". It made no sense.
Hey, i totally respect your opinion of this drama. It is alright if you dislike a drama that many other people…
This isn't a debate. I'm not a fan of that trope, which I stated. It's overdone.
Also, this is not a "fantasy". It's not about a shape shifting alien, who falls in love with a girl on earth. That's a fantasy. It's a story about a girl and a boy. It's fiction. While none of these dramas are "realistic", there comes a point where the departure from reality is so ridiculous that it doesn't make sense.
Everybody isn't going to love this series. Doesn't mean they lack understanding, or they need insight. Just means they aren't fans.
I want my time back. The two leads were eye candy, and Jeff sang beautifully...but the story was just bad, which pretty much promised a bad finale. One hour is all that was needed, for the entire series.
Chap isn't the greatest actor. Bless his soul, and he didn't have a lot to work with.
So let's see, we had that long intro, the previous episode recap, about 7 minutes of new material, and the series recap. The end.
I really liked the chemistry between Gorya and Thyme. Bright and Tu are an amazing pair. However, Is it just me…
I think you're thinking in a more mature way, than most. A lot of people who watch these dramas don't really think that hard.
Gorya falling for Thyme made no sense...at all. He was very cruel, and any change of heart should have been tested, over time. He would have never gotten the time of day from me...changed man or not. He went too far, and that "beast to bunny" transformation we commonly see is never believable. It's that old "sweet girl changes bully" storyline that I tend to hate. It was cool when I was 16, but not at 27.
Was Ren "better"? He was more believable as a love interest. It made more sense. Because as mentioned, he never intervened when he should and could have. None of them did. They stood by and watched Thyme be an abusive clown. But that's a rabbit hole - toxic relationships in Thai dramas. Ren was the lesser of two evils.
Hey, i totally respect your opinion of this drama. It is alright if you dislike a drama that many other people…
Thyme was awful, but a lot fans of these kind of dramas love the "bully turns into a bunny" storylines. The sweet girl can change the bad guy, in two episodes. It doesn't even make sense.
Maybe I'm too grown up for this story or the production team and actors didn't execute it well enough. I'm not…
This series was definitely too young for me. I was irritated much of the time. I just could not see how Gorya would ever pick Thyme over Ren. Ren was a much better match, and I loved their chemistry, and Thyme was so cruel to her, and her "friend". Plus, Gorya yelling on the rooftop got on my nerves, after the second time.
Kaning and Kavin? No way. He was too mature for her, and those huge bows made her look like she was 12. Kavin was waking up with two women in his bed....waay too much for Kaning. Kaning should've ended up with Gorya's brother. That would have been more believable, than Kavin. They would have made a cute couple. Kavin could have been the "big brother" person in her life, but not her man.
MJ didn't get enough screen time, and he was my favorite of them all - gorgeous and sexy...just delicious. He fit the role he played perfectly. I only watched the show for him. Those KFC spots, with that girl were not doing it for me. It was a weak story, and the chicken got in the way. He was too fine, to be pushing KFC. I definitely want to see more of him, in a similar role...he should have been in Kinn Porsche.
I hope this is their last series together - it's time to branch out and work with other people. It'll improve their craft. I like them both, but there's some other actors I'd love to see them work with. Plus, the BL genre tends to attract obsessive, delusional fans, who can't separate actors from their roles. They did it with Bright and Win, and it was creepy and weird. When Boys Over Flowers F4 came out, a lot of nutty fans couldn't let them be other people - "I know he's with Tu now, but I'm BrightWin FOREVER!!!!" Yeah, okay.
You can definitely run a good thing in the ground, and we're at that point with these two.
Didn't Vincenzo have a 2-3 episode arc where he had to play gay to ensnare a gay nemesis? Also, is this intentionally…
Another person mentioned "comparisons". I just heard about people making comparisons here. I don't know anyone personally who has seen Vincenzo that would compare it to Kinn Porsche.
Didn't Vincenzo have a 2-3 episode arc where he had to play gay to ensnare a gay nemesis? Also, is this intentionally…
No, it's not a "Thai version of Vincenzo". The storyline is nothing like Kinn Porsche. I don't know how anyone who actually saw Vincenzo could be reminded of it, from watching Kinn Porsche.
Vincenzo had a male admirer. He didn't "play gay" as much as he didn't discourage his affections, if that makes sense.

They get sooooo serious about differences in opinion. Takes all the joy from watching the show together.
