That's a fear honestly If they actually take the route then what? His actions didn't seem like a person who lost his wife and child. It could actually get negative response, it's not like he doesn't deserve to love but he is still dealing with the trauma of the same soooo it will be really weird if he was over the trauma I won't have mind.

Du Shik and Hye Jin have way many differences already and I assume they will sort it out 8-9 eps and also the thing of his past revelation won't be before ep 12 I assume. So I dunno how they can deal with this thing in just 4 episodes if they take that theory coz it will complicate a lot of things.

I believe something happened when he was 28 years old(7 year theory) maybe Hye Jin saw miserable day in Du Shik's life when he was in seoul, because whenever they met they had one or the other was suffering, that's why they remember that day.
