At first I thought he was crying because they are family and he fell in love with a blood relative. But since many had pointed out that it was not the case, I find his breakdown and crying in the car out of context. But maybe its among the reason that you had offered. He might feel used and manipulated by Nubsib, because honestly, that was what he had been doing to Gene.
