Ugh! Good thing I watch just for the male visuals. The UWMA arc is cringey af. Can we get past Wayu's crying-lady arc? I hope they brainstorm for a solid ending... but did they plan for this? >.<
I am crossing my fingers for TIFC not to end this series with Pearl choosing herself. >.< If that will be the ending, the jealousy, the hurt, the anger, and the pain shown in all episodes will be for nothing and I will seriously feel that I was pulled in and invested in something that is a prank.
BUT, if they will not do that, the ending will bring mixed feelings to viewers. Also, I feel that many are frustrated with PND's characters because at some point in the show, consciously and unconsciously, we connect to the character's strengths and flaws. And at some point in our life we had experienced or know someone who had experienced what they are presenting. There is an Alex, a Karleen and a Pearl in all of us.
As for Pearl's cry at the end, honestly at first watch, I did not get it. I mean why is she crying? But re-watching the series, I've realized there is a lot for Pearl to cry on. And I think it all kind of dawned on Pearl when Karleen left her to go to Jill.
You've answered, yes. I just want to clarify because, ughm, that reason was kind of bonkers. I mean, following that logic, a BL cannot be BL if it is not made for profit?
I see, that's what constitute a drama for you. It is kind of different definition from how it was defined in filmmaking class. But still, it is a personal thing.
As for GLs, let me clarify... it will be a GL if it is made for profit? I
Hi again. Uhm I just need to clarify things from your persepective: 1. What constitute dramas for you? 2. What constitute a GL for you?
I kind of read through your exchange with @synchonicity and slightly confuse with some aspects. Because PND is GL and you said it is not. Don't take it as negative. I just want to get your view on the question above.
Yeah. That's why I included the word 'often,' it is not absolute, Ton might be bisexual and/or he is gender fluid. Also, 'meanings' will absolutely come from the viewer, unless the show explicitly shows it to the viewer via different plot techniques and exposition.
That ticket was soo worth it! I love the representation here. There were little hiccups (just teeeny) in acting and transitions but the story and the viewing experience made up for all of it. Hope it will be curated in Netflix for wider audiences and/or be streamed legally for free the soonest.
I hope after Ton comes out as gay or bi(due to forceful outing of his friends) he will not use the line "I am only gay for Chon" or something which meant like that.
In EP5, Pearl was asked by Karleen and Alex on a date... based on how Pearl dropped Fonzy's and Alex's call to answer Karleen, I though she will be dating Karleen first. (Did I missed something out in EP6?)
If not, my mind is conjuring possibilities that PearLex is the endgame, despite Alex's tantrum (which is completely justifiable... except for 'let Karleen be harrased' moment).

Still, I hope that line won't be used.
As for the ending, it was an open-ended one.
