Actually the ending is good because this series supposed to be a prequel from wattpad stories. I really hope they…
Read the wattpad story as if you have not seen the series. Because although the series was 'prequel' of the wattpad story, it (wattpad version) seems to be an alternate universe of the series. I mean, the story also begins with Karl staying in his uncle's condo BUT not during the semestral break.... And also, majority of the wattpad version is in Filipino so google translate is your friend if you are non-native and not well verse with the language.
Gosh! ranted out. Yes I recommend the wattpad story :)
OK, but why are the exes always women in BLs? Why are there no villainous male exes?
I sometimes think, does female BL fans do have internal hate towards their co-females in TH? Because the girl villain trope in their BL seems to be a must have a lot seems not to mind how the girls were portrayed.
After watching the 2 episodes, I am liking this one so far. As for the homophobia and misogyny, these were presented in terms of Tonhon's view and character so it opens a possible character development as the series progress. Also, Ai and Nhai kind of balances Tonhon's prejudices so it is too early to say if this series is a real anti. :)
So great to see a good show after seeing two endings, one great and another one very anti-climactic.
I just finished watching the last 4 ep and I skipped more than half each ep. I only watched bc I had hoped it…
Based on comments, PhuXKhao will keep you around. You just have to put up with the frequent skipping or playing the episodes in ff. Sad that this one had so much potential but the team behind this opted for tired and irritating character development, acting, plotline and one lazy scriptwriting and directing.
Wow... reading the comments, I didn't realize this many people wanted a definitive happy ending.
That's why it is confusing. The timelines in the last EP seems to require explanation outside of the episode AND the show. That reflects a weakness in the script or directing. Anyway, it was only glaring on the last EP.
As for the 'forcing Karl to come out" I have no issue with that, coming out takes time. The lazy writing I was referring to was with the seeming randomness of the last EP and the main purpose of it which was "to set up the next season." And please, let us not take comments as attack to the LGBTQIA+ experiences, I commented for the viewing experience I felt watching the last EP. Because if you do that, you are discriminating to straights who are watching the show and has criticism over the last EP.
This whole series was just a prequel of the novel (same title) on wattpad. The ep 8 is like the introduction of…
I hope they won't go that route and based season 2 exclusively on the wattpad story. It might become like those TH BLs who has great wattpad stories but have poor execution when adapted to tv/series.
Glad that they are fleshing out Karleen's background. I hope they do too with Alex because her character is too perfect and that is a red flag for me.
As for Fonzy, bro! Your inner laitera is on fire!
