Are we talking about the same series? Or did we watch the same EP 6? Or you judged the EP when you've FF it in…
I see. You don't like the character. For me, I think he is not homophobic, he had surrounded himself with walls because he is afraid to let his inner self out, and being with Vlad had slowly gave him courage to be out.
As for your view with Karl's straight-ness, you said he is supposed to be straight maybe because that is what he presented himself in the previous episodes. However, in EP 5 when Anna asked him of his gender he said "straight," and then added "I think," because maybe that is how he view someone who is straight or that is how he identifies himself. And who are we to contradict that. We don't have standards of straightness because we don't have measurement for that.
BUT I respect your view with Karl's characterization, we do view these series through the lenses of our experiences.
"As for the feminine character in other BL" please do give the list.
BTW, I am in no way affiliated with GSP's production team or whatever. I am, just like you, a viewer and an ally.
I really don't like the show, and the script, but I do like Ian and his sister, the only thing that is good, the…

With Karl's dance, it was a cringe for me, but it has its purpose. It represents his coming out and acceptance of who he really is, plus getting out the shadows of his dead brother.
As for the gay thing, is there ever a gauge of too gay and too little?
Yes to challenging the family dynamics! Yes to attacking and reaping the LBTQ+ stereotype! And for that I love this more! And btw, challenging family dynamics in PH is a huge feat.
But ugh, the dance-scene was a cringe for me. And yet it was a glimpse of Karl's true self and a reconciliation of the two dichotomies within him.
There are a deluge of PH BL this year. It's as if the industry woke up and decided to produce one each month :).…
Yap. That's why I included a comment in (). However, as far as I remember, there was an arc which can be considered as BL. But the overlapping theme is a mature one, so BL purists ( those fantasy stans) will probably veer away.
I wonder who's to blame. Lol. I mean, the actors are good-looking, I believe they had at least has some acting gigs before being cast as leads in this series so the 'flat' vibe must not be solely due to them. What's left are the directors, script-writers and the consultants.
Watched EP2. And boy I was thankful that they did a good job handling the jealousy theme. However, I sense an overly possessive AND romantic character in Teh. I also liked the subtle way they showed the slowly maturing affection of Teh with Oh using smell. I think the aversion with coconut is rooted with his past with Oh-aew.
I still get the 'Love of Siam' vibe in this one. Plus, Teh (Billkin) keeps reminding me of Witwisit with the way he smiles and the way he act.
Started this after i saw someone talking about it on twt, this is the first time I'm watching a Filipino BL and…
There are a deluge of PH BL this year. It's as if the industry woke up and decided to produce one each month :). Try these ones that had completed airing: >Gameboys (but I think it's not for everyone's tea, but it did act as the alarm for the PH to explore this type of series) >Hello Stranger (if you want something nice and fluffy), >In Between (nice and fluffy too, plus it explores friendship within a group) >Kumusta Bro (again might not be for everyone) >Batang Poz ( idk if you will consider it as BL. and it has mature context in it)
These are the ones currently airing: >Gaya sa Pelikula (Like in the Movies) >Ben X Jim ( I think the most TH - Like PH BL to date based on plot and stereotypes) >Quaranthings >My Extraordinary >My Day >Amore >Lakan >Pearl Next Door (not BL but GL, but please do support.)
There you go. And a lot more to come like Oh Mando, Better Days and Your Home. Please do support PH BL/GL, because as ate Judit said... Ally!
I skip here and there, but the childhood scenes here were important
Yeah too early to say. Re-watching EP1 brought warning signs to me. I seem to feel the "Love of Siam" and "Dew" vibe in it, and that is an area I don't want to explore again :)

My gosh. Did EP6 blew our comprehension. Charot!

Can't wait for EP 3.
Can't wait for the next episode to see how they will handle the GF trope.
