Your giving no follow up on your review is bad thing. So? How did it go for you?
We can agree to disagree. Although I strongly feel if ML isn’t in the picture and/or if ML character isn’t the main “male lead”, FL one hundred percent would’ve gotten together with SML.
Also, if you ever come across my comments on other dramas on this site, you’ll have a clearer picture on how I feel about delulu SMLs with their one sided love for FL and second lead syndrome itself - (Cheer Up 2022 e.g.)
Your giving no follow up on your review is bad thing. So? How did it go for you?
Let’s put it this way.
Have you ever watched a romance/romcom and thought “well, FL& ML are going to like each other and end up with each other cuz they happen to be playing the main roles in a romance/romcom”?
There was nothing natural about how the leads fell for each other. FL got to see how much pain ML is in and she feels pity for him. That was somehow twisted into her loving him. ML also fell for him for no real reason as well. Again, mistaking pity for love.
And guess what? With FL&SML the show actually took time to build up their dynamic/relationship in a natural and organic manner. FL actually meets SML first and they quickly strike up a friendship. They did lots of hanging out in the first few episode. Lots of screen time for just the two together. Of course, SML fell for FL at first sight so all their spending time together SML definitely saw that as their romance blossoming. SML character is also pitiful cuz essentially ML just came in and stole FL from him. ML is definitely a villain in SML story.
To summarize, at first the show gives you 101 reasons why FL&SML should be together only to then bring in ML and forced a romance between ML&FL. At least, that’s what I got from putting everything into context.
Can you truly befriend someone that you, yourself said “lusted” for you and fell in love with you after you’ve rejected/declined their advances?
It’s one thing if you’re going to stay single and you don’t mind befriending them, but you’re going into a committed relationship with someone else.
What would your partner/spouse think, and would they be OK with it?
And who is to say that person settled on being your friend cuz they want to stay close to you in hopes of being next in line?
Even then what if your relationship gets a bit rocky and they use it to their advantage with ulterior motives?
Even if your intentions are genuine in only wanting to be their friend, you can’t really know theirs. Only time will tell but the flip side of that is lots of people cheat on their partners with other people around them since it’s convenient
I honestly don’t understand the amount of hate the sunbae gets here. From what I saw, he was simply trying from…
1.) Sunbae berated Tae Hyung for not protecting his beloved Hyun Jin as if he has any say in what goes on inside of a family (ml+fl+baby). Sunbae made it sound like Tae Hyung is at fault for the situation.
2.) Sunbae belittled Tae Hyung when he said he knows how to offer love since he comes from a loving family when talking to Hyun Jin
3.) Sunbae doesn’t care about WooJoo. He uses WooJoo to get closer to Hyun Jin and spend more time with her. Case in point - EP 10 WooJoo recital. Let’s not pretend we don’t know why Sunbae didn’t tell Hyun Jin about seeing Tae Hyung.
It is WooJoo’s big day, and WooJoo should’ve gotten to see his uncle. Sunbae did not care about that. He didn’t want Tae Hyung to interrupt his date with Hyun Jin because that’s what the day was for him.
4.) After losing both his parents at a young age WooJoo now needs stability and consistency more than ever. WooJoo quickly bonded with his uncle and it was beautiful seeing how well their dynamic works. WooJoo needed Tae Hyung just as much as Tae Hyung needed WooJoo.
Sunbae sees that with his own two eyes, yet he was desperately trying to drive Tae Hyung away so he can be in a one horse race for Hyun Jin (sunbae did so successfully for a time).
YS ignoring all the sings he is on a sinking ship make me kinda laugh. Beside to me all their "romantic"…
The thing is there was so little of those subtle/simple gestures and moments between the leads past couple of episodes that it also feels superficial and lacks substance when they have their big moments.
Sound like good suggestions. I’m only on ep 4 and surprised how much I’m enjoying it so far. There are some…
“I honestly think FL is well cast. The character is being herself w him(ML) and it’s refreshing to see a FL not trying to be something she’s not around a guy.”
You must also like to sit there for hours and hours imagining the leads happy moments/happily ever after rather…
This is a 12 episodes drama.
You confuse this with a 90 minutes movie where main characters get together last minute, and we see another frame of them walking into the sunset before credit rolls

Good luck this time around 😭🤞

FL has been constantly rejecting SML, and he took advantage of her while she was drunk. (+ sml initiated btw)
DRUNK PEOPLE CANNOT GIVE CONSENT!
Apparently many people here and on YouTube loved it because that kiss was HOT according to them 🙃
The rest literally says in-laws having to take care of the nephew after a tragedy.
It literally says that above
Sunbae Universe: Build-down romantic tension for the grand confession scene ✅
Not sure I’d call that a success
… and the kid is gone
These writers definitely gets off on male lead misery and suffering
You’ll definitely come back to this statement lol
