He is not apologizing for doing something wrong, he did not and he knows that. However, his actions caused TX to be hurt with his unintentional actions. When he realized the pain he has caused her, he apologized for causing her heartache and explain his relation with Ming Zhu so she does not hang on the idea that he loved MZ. I think it was not a wrong move on his part, he decently explained the situation

According to the works TBA on his info, he will be getting into different type of roles. He will be doing one historical play and one catch the criminal type of show with Gong Jun. I think like many actors he just got the opportunity to branch out to different types of roles.

It is but script writers sometimes use exaggeration to underline some issues ,make drama and characters funny. Don't dwell on it since this is not a drama claiming to be a documentary

She is definitely not a weak character and she is very focused on her career despite first impressions. It definitely gets better after episode 4. Don't judge episode 4 on its own and watch the others before you make up your mind since everything is not as it seems to be
