Well said its a very valid point, maybe an issue of the emotion blocking the facts? I also believe that HY only…
I personally have a very clear idea about the distinction between revenge and justice. My home country is going through cycles of revenge sometimes disguised as the search for justice for a century and it looks like a train wreck now. So I have thought a lot about those concepts. Search for justice means like in the case of DZY up to now, clearing the names of wronged ones and punishment for everyone responsible for the situation. The ones who gave the decisions and some of the people who implemented them if they had the choice to refuse. Justice only goes after the people responsible for the offense and not the innocent bystanders.

Revenge is when you do not care about the results of your actions on innocents and other people. Most of the people in revenge fantasies act as if it is possible to restore old order, go back to good old days. However, when injustice prevails and innocent people are punished for no apparent or legitimate reason, it is never possible to go back to the time before the injustice.

You can never restore old order, at best you can hope for a new balance of power or a new order which is not the old one you lost or the one that did you injustice. Remember the story of Orpheus in Hades, he looses Eurydice because he looks back to see if she is following him. Only condition of getting her out of Hades was for him not to look back , but he did and lost her forever. In that sense injustice is like death for the person who is left behind, it changes people. So it is never possible to go back to the good old golden days. If you persistently try to go there obsessively you create new problems and injustices. In any case no one can bring the massacred people back, years of suffering can never be erased from one's mind, but if you try to inflict the pain you lived through on innocent third parties, you only open the door to new cycles of suffering and revenge.

I think Karma works , but I have seen it only once in action in one of my friend's case. It works wonderfully but very slowly. However, in my home country where reincarnation is not a party of the belief system, there is a saying which posits that the greater the sin is, the time period for the karma to act is longer. So one never sees biggest criminals gets its due and they always hope that they suffer in their reincarnated lives, understanding what they have done by living through similar conditions. I sincerely hope that Karma or divine justice works, but the time frame for it to work on the scope of a Chinese or any other TV series is too long

Exactly. As humans we all crave for justice (animals also have a sense of justice, fairness by the way), but Han Ye is not the guilty one here. I think their problem is being obsessed with the idea of revenge and getting justice for all the mistreated. They have not yet learned that it can never be fully done

Whenever I see a scene where DZY and LXM congratulate themselves on the success of the revenge plot and how Han family as a whole deserves to be punished, I can not help but think that their plan to exonerate Di Family would not have worked if Han Ye was not a upright and just character. Regardless of DZY's love Han Ye would not have acted in such a way if he was like his father. Moreover, crime is personal not familial, but DZY seems to forget it and Officer Luo does not seem to care. I can not help but feel sad for Han Ye, who suffers all alone in silence. He has more integrity in his little finger than his father and grandmother combined.

I can understand the seek for justice and revenge, but this constant push by Luo Min XI for keeping the throne in the Di family reminds me of Dowager Empress, Is doing everything for success of your agenda acceptable Luo Min Xi and DZY....Unlike Luo, I do not think Han Ye is naive, he is only principled and righteous.

I have started watching Chinese series for about a year now. However, this is my first time joining a forum for the discussion of a series. I am quite surprised by the hatred and injustice I observe in some comments. I wonder if some of the haters are teenagers, high on hormones or paid trolls. What kind of a person gives low rating to an episode that has not aired yet, a paid one or a very rabid one I surmise.

Here are some thoughts on the series and criticisms I have encountered here.

1) CGI is not good, but it is understandable. Good CGI is quite expensive. Game of Thrones which spent a fortune on CGI series also had some scenes as well and the series had a far more higher budget than this series. Unless Chinese series are sold world wide and guarantee a solid income, it is understandable and even pardonable to have some bad CGI in a series such as Legend of Anle. Some sceneries definitely look fake, but I do not think they necessarily make the series bad. It would have been nice to have better CGI, but the reason for watching this series is not CGI. It is the plot and the acting, I think the main story and the acting overall is solid.
2) I encountered voice-lip synchronization problems only in one episode. I do not think voice actors are doing a bad job either. Voice of Ren Anle changed as she metamorphosed into Di Ziyuan again. I can understand why some people are irritated by the girly voice and laughs at the beginning of her Ren Anle persona, that way of talking irritates me too. However many women -worldwide-use this tone of voice and talking when flirting, thinking that it makes them sexy and more appealing to men. I would call that voice was a part of Di Ziyuan's disguise.
3) I do not have any idea whether make up is good or bad. If some of you complaining about it, you are probably right but it did not disturb me as a person. Most of you probably know more than I do about make up, I guess. I only use make up when I have to in a social or a professional environment.
4) I can see that the novel is interesting. I am looking forward to reading it when I find a complete and decent English translation after the series is completed. It is quite understandable from a budgetary perspective why some characters and story lines were cut from the drama. Lord of the Rings (movie series not the TV one) is the only adaptation of a book that stays true to its plot. Harry Potter books as well. Even Game of Thrones which followed the books quite closely till the last two seasons had to cut some characters and story plots, merged some characters despite having a huge world wide audience and a much much higher budget. As an avid book reader, I have learned over the years that one has to treat books and TV/movie adaptations are separate products and evaluate them separately. I am looking forward to reading the book at one point. I am sure I will enjoy it more when I imagine some characters with the faces I saw on this series. I want to thank all people who have read the novel and provided us with the spoilers about the story in the back ground, what was in the book. My heartfelt thanks goes to you all.
5) I also think some of the criticisms directed at script writers are unjust as well. Some of the parts are sloppy and repetitive, the criticisms are right in that regard. However, I also know lots of actors and script writers in my home country, which is quite successful in selling TV series to the world. So I know that it is normal to have different people writing different episodes. Sometimes script writers also divide characters between themselves and each script writer is tasked with writing the same characters through out the series. With the rate Chinese dramas are displayed on various sites, it would be safe to surmise that the production team and hence script writers are under enormous pressure to produce a lot in short while. Add to that other factors like one of the actors getting ill, injured etc, on the set and the censorship angle, TV channel's demand, it is quite understandable why certain scenes are long, irrelevant or repetitive. In my home country, I know that TV channels demanded TV series to be over 2 hrs long so that they can have three advertisement breaks which lead to lots o f meaningless gazing scenes. In one of the popular series, ML could not stand FL so the script writers had to come up with many reasons to keep them apart. Therefore, there may be lots of reasons why script
6) Gong Jun and Dilreba have a great chemistry. I read some comments which said they found Gong Jun effeminate, I totally disagree with them. I think he looks just right for the part and he is a good actor. His acting is subtle and nuanced and you can feel the love he feels toward Reba in their scenes together.
7) Many people who accuse of Han Ye not doing enough seems to forget that he is wearing two hats, he is Han Ye and Crown Prince at the same time. He cannot act on whim, he has to think about his responsibility towards the country and its people in instances many people found questionable. He is an innately just and considerate individual with a great sense of duty and responsibility. Despite his problems stemming from being the Crown Prince, he always tried to defend and protect DZY, even letting her go instead of insisting to marry her and have her confined in a palace, which I believe he thinks is suffocating. He never had the chance to have a carefree existence. He always had to think of his responsibilities as the Crown Prince.
8) Many people do not seem to realize that he is a very lonely individual who has to keep his thoughts and emotions in check, not giving his enemies the opportunity to use those feelings against him or the people he loves. DZY had a happy family life and had the support of her followers, Luo Xi Ming and other people in her entourage, whereas only person Han Ye really has is Wen Shuo. Princess An Ning also had a very lonely existence and we can see that her sharing her thoughts and ideas with her body guard is a bad idea. Han Ye never makes this mistake, he always keeps his cards close to his chest.
9) After the 28th episode, I agree with commentators that Luo Xi Ming is after revenge and not justice, unlike DZY. I can definitely understand and sympathize with his sentiments and thoughts, but he is a ruthless individual who would do anything to put DZY on the throne regardless of the consequences for the ordinary folk. He is right, nothing will bring justice to 80,000 soldiers and Di family members who were massacred. However, he is putting undue pressure on DZY, while she understands that Han Ye would be a very good and just ruler. Planning a rebellion, a civil war will lead to death of so many innocent people on both sides and will cause new injustices for anyone fighting in the war. It is one thing to defend the country against external enemies, planning a civil war is different on the other hand. The people who support Han or Di family will die in such a war. True, the Emperor is paranoid and unjust, but Han Ye is different. Luo Xi Ming does not see or want to accept it.
10) I agree that Luo Xi Ming is dedicated and devoted to DZY, but I am not sure it is love in the real sense. No one would push their own agenda on the person they love. From the spoilers that it is different than the book and in the book DZY is the one who is pushing for revenge. For past crimes, justice can never be achieved regardless of what one does. However, one can prevent creation of new injustices and work on the protection of individuals. The Crown Prince has a better understanding of this phenomenon since he knows every action has consequences. I like Lu Xi Ming and the actor that plays this character, I think he is doing a very good job. Like the flower that he misses, I think what he misses and loves most is the idea of an ideal past, which is gone and over with. I think he is disregarding DZY's feelings and her predicament in the series for the sake of this nostalgia. As DZY says to Han Ye about the disappearance of Ren Anle character, also holds true for Luo's nostalgia for the past and glory of the Di family.
11) I can not understand why are we seeing fake DZY still in the series, I hope that she will play an important role in the future episodes. Otherwise, her scenes are just a waste of precious time on the series. She annoys me very much, which could mean she is a good actress since the main goal of this character is to annoy the viewer. Still, I want her disappear from the story.

In the novel:Han Ye does recover his vision.Han Ye's mother (the empress) died when he was a child. Anning's mother…
You are great mukkanna. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it

Some one may have asked the quesiton and I may have missed it, but the comments are raining and I can not keep up with them. From the video segments, it is apparent that Han Ye will become blind at one point in the future. Will he ever recover his eyesight (at least in the novel)?

Second question is about Han Ye and Ann Ning's mother? What happened to her? Why is she never in the picture? Do those siblings share a mother as well?

Why do Di Zhuyan and Han Ye are seen in red uniforms during war scenes where as Ann Ning has a blue uniform?

How bad is Plum Blossoms organization as an intelligence agency? Is the Emperor corrupt or does not care that both of his children had spies in their houses? Ann Ning's body guard is a North Qin prince and Han Ye's bodyguard was working with Marquis Zhogyin or Gu....
