I really hope so, one episode per day does not satisfy my craving

I have watched episode 32 and can see that Youku will only release episode 33 tomorrow. It is unbelievable, Do not read the remaining section if you have not watched episode 32 yet. Youku will definitely torture us by releasing one episode per day, were not they supposed to release two at least every other day?

An Ning escapes clutches of Mo Bei, thanks to the observational skills of her servant. Luo discovers the origin and identity of Mo Bei. He is a prince of Northern Qin, but apparently a low ranking one since he was born to a palace servant. However, Luo appreciates his determination and ability to work undercover for 5 years. It is quite obvious that Mo Bei had feeling for An Ning, since he was ordered to kill An Ning and did not, he received a scolding about his inability to do so through a palace official. He also never tried to harm her in the physical sense, he loves her it seems but his desire for promotion in the ranks of Northern Qin palace and desire to protect his own country is more than his love for An Ning.

We finally managed to see the general/military persona of An Ning, It was impressive but unfortunately for us viewers, we just got a taste of it since her fate seems sealed at this stage. She is also selfless like her brother Han Ye, she will defend the city to the end.

We also get an idea about why Luo Ming Xi is facing the death penalty. He was supposed to go to support An Ning, but he chose to divert troops to Di Zinyuan when he learned she was ambushed. Totally unprofessional and personal decision, which would not be tolerated in any context. At the same time, Han Ye reached Di Ziyuan and will start to fight with her.. If Luo had followed the orders, it looks as if both An Ning and Di Ziyuan could have been saved. An Ning is not dead yet, but with only 1,000 troops left at her disposal she does not seem to have much sense of surviving.

Next episode will probably about getting An Ning's city back, Luo's disregard of military orders, and troops chanting for his execution and Di Ziyuan's attempts to save his life. It is quite obvious Han Ye has the qualities to be a good ruler whereas Luo Mi Xi decides with his emotions, which is always a bad idea when you are in a position of power/authority.

It was hearbreaking to see him crest fallen when he did not see her. She was hiding quiet well.

In the episode 31 they say that they could not find the body of Mo Shaung so I strongly doubt that Di Chengen was at the scene of the fire. I would not have mined if she had died there, but apparently she did not.

Stage is quiet different than a film set. Somehow I do not think anyone can act like Daniel Day Lewis on a C drama set

Watch it. It has some flaws but it gets really good and a delight to watch. ML is not dull but you have to be patient. Acting is good so is chemistry, lots of twists and turns if you avoid trailers and spoilers. (I never do, but it is yr preference) However you have to be patient for the story to get momentum. Story is interesting if you are interested in psychology

We are told it does in the book. It looks it will do so as well in the series after lots of sorrow

I read in the book spoilers that LMX is couple of years older than HY in the book, four years older than HY and eight yrs older than DZY if my memory serves me right.

I know but it may be hard to conjure up those emotions with a huge crew hanging around all the time

He is a lifelong friend, done a lot for her, helped her bring justice to her family. Luo's family has always served her family. She has a debt of gratitude to him. Afterall ge arranged the switch to prevent her going to Dai Temple in the mountain.

She probably knows his feelings for him.and may also feel guilty for not reciprocating them.

She still does not know the extent of ML's help and the lengths he went to protect her. We know ML loves her, but I am not sure a person in love can see it so clearly. I.do not think she understood his reasons for insisting to marry fake DZy as well as we did. Person in love always feels insecure and there is so much history of enmity between them. She would be devastated when she understands depth of his love. ML never talks about his good deeds and always a gentleman towards women, so it is normal for FL not to get it

They are probably suffering from.survivor's guilt and projecting it to HY.

However, it is obvious they will both regret it and pay the price of this projection with sorrow and guilt

He said he got ill and was sick for a while. I think amnesia stems from combination of illness and PTSD probably. You are right he does not know but he may have his suspicions and maybe keeping it to himself. If he does we dont know. HY may tell him before going to war

Even though fake DZY got her redemptive arc, she annoyed me so much in previous episodes and caused loss of precious screen time, I hope her character is gone from the series for good.

Despite his paranoid and cruel nature, it was nice to see Emperor cared for his children as a father. His cough does not bode well for the future though

Mo Bei maybe in love with her but his love for An Ning will not trump his love for his country and duty as a prince

As HE said there are constraints of being born to the imperial family especially if you are a responsible and just person

I found weiki playing scene btwn Han Ye and Luo Xi Ming when they were kids weird. Luo Xi Ming as a child looked younger than Han Ye even though we know he is older. Such a bad casting mistake

He is old and experienced enough to know before it is told
