All right, I am enjoying it again! I suppose since I resumed watching after two weeks, I needed time to adjust. But I stand by my statement about the scene cuts and music. I feel the suspense and characters are carrying the story.
I'm not sure if I can handle the family secrets. And how hypocritical and insecure Eun Hee is. I suppose the writer wants to point out flaws in the characters which is why it is proceeding the way it is. I will try to sit through it. I think, had the music and its directing been good, I would have liked it more. The scenes also cut awkwardly sometimes.
The writer did not have to pull a typical kdrama move and make the second lead unbearable. I hate it when they do it for no reason just to make us like them less. Jaeyoung had so much potential to be made an memorable character - a single father overcoming his horrible marriage and learning to be there for his daughter. The character is being wasted greatly. I hate it
On episode 3, and I have to say I like it, though I miss the characters from the first two episodes - particularly the conartist and the guy with thr sick mother. So far, the only character that irritates me is the ex-girlfriend (I suppose it is the whiny way she talks). And episode 3 had such a nice surprise for me: Shin Jae Ha!
In my previous comment, I did not mean to imply that this drama is weak! It has been a joy to watch so far. And while I may not be the biggest Yisang × Hari shipper in this audience so I'm not exactly into the romance, I am most certainly enjoying the characters individually. I would really love to see the three men bonding! After the previous episode's scene in which Jaeyoung and Yisang ganged up against Eu Tteum, I am looking forward to them becoming good friends. It looked like they could communicate well with each other. So bromance + mature handling of conflicts within the main romance + good balance of comedy and emotion like the previous episodes is what I hope is in store!
Since rom-coms are not my thing, I am not sure whether I will be able to enjoy the second half of the drama as much as the first one, since everything has been finalised with regards to relationships leaving only certain conflicts to be resolved. I'm afraid that it may become melo, or lose the charm when it becomes too heavy on the main couple's romance and shifts focus from the second and third ML. Hopefully writer-nim knows what to do. Wouldn't want Jang Nara to have a weak drama after such strong ones three years in a row
The meeting the three male leads had and Jaeyoung and Yisang ganging up against Eu Tteum was the funniest. What was more hilarious was the older duo getting slapped with how Eu Tteum is a big competition. I feel Eu Tteum's naivety made the scene funny. He did not realize what he was saying was actually an amazing clapback to the older two XD He is such a baby - I want the best for him!
Am I the only one getting a little ticked off writers keep pushing the hair bang girl with our youngest third…
You are not alone. Eu Tteum lacks tact, but he is honest, sincere, and willing to understand - not to mention a wholeass cutie. He deserves someone better than that selfish reporter.
The acting was phenomenal. The lighting created a brilliant ambience. The writing was great. The camerawork was…
I also found a few warm moments when the rapper guy was involved. He really made me smile. His bonding with the ML was portrayed so naturally. The writers really didn't have to hurt us like that
The acting was phenomenal. The lighting created a brilliant ambience. The writing was great. The camerawork was so satisfying - the transitions of the scenes, the way the camera seemed to move with the characters. It was a great visual experience. Watch this if you love psychological horror. Watch this if you are tired of weak motivation of criminals in dramas; watching real psychos, their actions unjustified, makes for brilliant villains. 9.5/10. I want to give a 10, but this is the farthest I will get.
YSY has been taking up a lot of roles where he has to express the duality of his characters. I don't blame him since he shows the contrast and conflict so well. I don't think I'll get tired of him in such roles
