And what an ending, lmao. I think Woo Bin will either spin it off as "I wanted to prevent you [the Emperor] from inflicting further harm only to regret it later" or "This is part of my plan to seduce her." I have a feeling that the Emperor will gradually lose trust in him.

Now, Min Yu Ra probably knows the truth and the ex Chief Guard is surprisingly still alive - they'll be a force of opposition to the Emperor ... or maybe the Empress. I can't wait to know!

Goodness, Woo Bin might have just prevented the Empress from being coerced into something - the Emperor looked so obsessive and threatening, I was genuinely scared for a second. Thank God for the Palace Guard. And what a great actor he is, this Shin Sing Rok.

I absolutely adore her acting. I started watching The Last Empress, and did not guess she was 37. Later, I stumbled upon her speech on KBS awards for Excellency in acting. She was so humble and adorable, I had to like her. Because of her I watched what would become one of my favourite dramas, I Remember You and Go Back Couple. What great work she has done! I'm proud of her and hope to see more from her.

Wholeheartedly agree. I feel like I wasted my time watching this. The female lead was so "good" that she conveniently forgot how the ML had fooled her bestie all along and led her to her death. The only relatively reasonable people were the brother, his female friend, and the awkward ex-bf.
