When Yu Ra and Kang Hee were having one of their fights, I found myself supporting Yu Ra. I mean, this nanny has the capability to be worse than the Empress Dowager.
The scene with the prince at the hospital and the whole brain coma shenanigan had me dying of laughter. Oh k-dramas…
Well, suffocation can lead to a coma, so I am torn between finding it stupid to thinking it's a convenient way of adding a twist to put Sunny and Wang Shik on the spot
I don't know how this mess - a good one, mind you - will be resolved in two more episodes. But then an episode covers a lot of things, so I don't think it's impossible.
Finally, an episode that decides once and for all exactly where Lee Hyuk stands. It was a wake up call, honestly. Oh, Lee Hyuk, you fucking murderer. It's not even surprising how low you can go.
I can't forgive the Emperor for adultery and murder. Even if he was abused by his father in his childhood, what…
You're so right! I get the actor is charming and, if you only focus on Sung Rok and Na Ra, they have great chemistry, but it's obvious Na Ra's character despises him (for the right reasons). Even Hyuk knows how much of a monster he is. But it's being taken as a classic bad boy/good girl situation by the viewers. The writer has made it clear how much of a "fixable" character he is. And even if he does repent, how would that undo his crimes? He will have to put himself behind bars - that's the only right thing to do: the victims' families deserve justice.
Is it just me or does the premise do a disservice to what the drama is actually about? Sunny's affection for Na Wang Shik is an important aspect, ascertaining where her loyalty lies, but it did not happen while she was searching for 'true love and happiness' but because she is searching for justice. When she was engaged in attaining the former, she did not even look at him - and that Sunny lasted long for what? Ten episodes?
You are not the only one. I too can't swallow a dirtbag's whim of raising himself atop past shit. He needs no…
So far, Sunny's determination of not letting him get away with his crimes shows she is disgusted by him just as much as we are, if not more. The girl knows he had a difficult childhood but still holds him accountable - I am certain she won't end up with him.
He didn't kill him. Both of them fell and sustained wounds, while Ma Pil Joo's were fatal. It was Ma Pil Joo who…
Definitely - he should be dealt with thoroughly, despite his childhood. It's not because I sympathize with him that I want him to face the lesser punishment in Na Wang Shik's mother's case - it's because Yu Ra was the on who struck her and she was the one who knew that her adopted mother was alive before they abandoned her body.
This drama has one of the weirdest comedy I've ever seen. It's very inappropriate considering the premise but…
Lmao, same here. The guy is off his rockers but strangely charming about it. I always anticipate the loony action every week. I can see why someone would love him. It also makes me question whether he loved Yu Ra (in his twisted way) or the idea of having a reason to go against his mother, simply because he hardly ever opened up to her like this. Or is my memory failing me?
I know! The Emperor was stupid for that action. But I guess he needed to have a meeting with others because ritually…
Exactly. It took a long time to see Sunny improve and now we have to wait for him to learn how to deceive them. I sometimes genuinely wonder if this is how confrontations in the Korean culture go. I have seen this happen in other dramas too - announcing what you are about to do and being attacked the last minute (obviously).
Just how much more can these writers be provocative!! So he just gathered all those COLD-HEARTED KILLERS in one…
I know! The Emperor was stupid for that action. But I guess he needed to have a meeting with others because ritually he should ask for their opinion or to see who would attack him (giving an indications as to who has more skeletons). Or maybe he was just being plain stupid.

Interesting point. With MPJ, however, he was already dead. Using his corpse to further his plot wasn't exactly humane, but the nature was entirely different from the Emperor's case. I still hold that CWB fought MPJ in self defence since he was suddenly confronted and threatened to be killed. I will admit the dead mom acting as his conscience this time was a little off putting, but for other reasons (they could have showed him having a change of heart in another way). As for Lee Hyuk, I don't think he should receive the punishment for murder when it comes to Woo Bin's mother but for his failure to take responsibility. The one responsible for her murder should be Min Yu Ra alone. I've said this before in another comment, but it's great to see how people view situations in this drama differently.
I can't believe they pulled that "dead mother stops her son last minute from going into the wrong path" nonsense…
He didn't kill him. Both of them fell and sustained wounds, while Ma Pil Joo's were fatal. It was Ma Pil Joo who tried to kill Woo Bin but CWB threw him under himself the last minute.
Just when I thought I couldn't despise Min Yu Ra more, she proves me wrong by acting entitled. She knows she's a monster, but she would rather believe that she deserves better anyway. As for the nanny - I haven't seen a bigger bitch before. Manipulating her own child? I want to smack her face. She's just like the Empress Dowager. The nanny is pretty fit for the position, isn't she?
I am happy to see that the Emperor is considering leaving the Empress. But as Sunny said, he has to accept his sins and stop being a coward.
Woo Bin thankfully had a conscience which prevented him from going as low as to murder Yu Ra. Now that he's using her, I think the Imperial Family will implode faster than before.
The acting Emperor should have been careful about his announcement. He should have visited the records room before announcing it. It's such a stupid thing to do. I don't know, but is it a Korean thing to announce your plans beforehand? Anyway, I hope the blame does not fall on Sunny again. She is always at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I really admire Woo Bin's attitude towards Sunny. He respects her, even if he disagrees with her decisions. He has not forced his feelings on her, knowing it will be dangerous for her. He is honest, a very refreshing quality. Lee Hyuk and his confrontation shows the difference between level of maturity in their behaviour in relationships. I would hate to see Sunny being reduced to a medicine for Lee Hyuk, the "cold but true man with a difficult childhood." He is not lost. Sunny may influence his decisions to better himself, but in the end only he can save himself.
Woo Bin challenged the Emperor yet again! I would say he's being stupidly brave, but then he also has nothing to lose (as long as his little brother remains safe). I like his audacity to smirk in front of the Emperor and say that he wouldn't kill him since he needs him. *applauds*
The break up with the Princess may cause her to do something rash - which will be harmful for Sunny's plans - if she doesn't find another interest. Oh, and what would Ari's knowledge of her real mother do to her? I am so mad that her power hungry mother gives no crap about the mental well being of her child. I understand she was overwhelmed which is why she spilled the truth, but come on... Stop using the child to fulfil your fantasies. What's more, I have a suspicion the Prime Minister had other intentions of wanting to appoint Ari as the Empress.
Finally, the better emperor is sitting on the throne, all thanks to Sunny, who finally has power in the household. Let's see what he does to dismantle the Imperial Family. As far as we can see, he has Woo Bin's silent loyalty. As for Woo Bin, if he is threatened, the guards under him would stay loyal to him.
I'm more excited now that the layers covering the truth are coming apart. Yu Ra knows that Woo Bin is Wang Shik, and Woo Bin is almost on the brink of choking her to death in his anger. Or maybe he wants to threaten her into silence.
I hope Sunny finds out about the Guard who has lost his sanity and uses him to attain Yu Ra's loyalty.
