I can't be the only one who thinks CWB is also a scumbag. Next to Hyuk he seems quite nice but I still can't stand…
And this is what makes me appreciate CWB's character more - he has his weak points, initially being his determination to get rid of hurdles that would come his way, and now his getting more emotionally invested because of Sunny. I was disappointed in his decision to leave his brother in the forest too. As for his pushing her off the cliff: he knew what he was doing, and it was not murder. But I can see why you see him as a scumbag. So many of us have different views on these characters, it's refreshing.
I am thinking of watching this, but I need an opinion. Is it heavily focused on romance, or is it more about the character and politics? If politics is the central theme, I would love to watch it.
I find it so funny how Yu Ra is scheming to find out CWB's secret and here no one knows that WS's dongsaeng is…
I wish CWB does something to prove his brother is Yura's son. It would be epic. But first things first: he has to fool the Emperor into believing that he doesn't like his Sunny.
It's decided: the Emperor is pathetic. He is ready to kill his own Chief Guard whom hr considered brother in a fit of jealousy? Grow up, man. Same goes for the mother. These Imperial household members throw so many tantrums, they look like spoiled brats. Wait... they already are. The Emperor's past makes me pity him, but after knowing what he's done and feeling guilt over it, he still hasn't abandoned what has truly turned him into a criminal. I am so disappointed.
Sunny will intervene, that's for sure. But how long will Woo Bin survive? He'll die in the end, it seems.
Nope he's still a murderer. What he did to his wife showed that he was more than capable of murder and she was…
Agreed. I still think he's not a good person, very likel to commit murder. But he's not the killer in the true sense of the word. Anyway, hope we see him punished. I was thinking the writer would show his desire to set things right once and for all, but it the recent episode has convinced me he's an obsessive man who will do anything maintain his control on others.
People contemplating whether they should watch this or not should definitely watch it. Jang Na Ra's character is gullible initially but the character development is extremely satisfying. Without losing her loving nature, Sunny learns street smarts and is a total badass.
I'm also proud of her she's come a long way over the years and she put up with all of the hate and bullying over…
True. People tend to hate her for no reason. I get that her characters can be a little "annoying", but that shouldn't be a reason to hate on the actress, who is really good at her craft.
And am I the only one who adores the way Woo Bin has come to care for Sunny? I love the natural acing of their relationship. And the self defense class made my inner romantic squeal... A little. :P
I knew that nanny was a witch! Why has the Emperor involved himself with such greedy people; first the nanny, then Min Yu Ra. This has at least made it clear that Hyuk is not a murderer: he had a fit of anger with his wife and, seven years later, accidentally hit Na Wang Shik's mother. This does not make him a better person at all, but he is redeemable.
The women in the Imperial House are more cunning and sinister than I imagined. It looks that in the next episode, O Sunny will survive the accident and Woo Bin may have to undergo the surgery, since he has little time left. I hope the writer pulls something off - rescues him. If it is Makjang, it better do something in the favour of the Last Empress. Cannot wait for the next episode. Hope the cliff hanger is not as torturous as it is every week. On second thoughts... those cliffhangers are what make this whole damn thing so addictive.
It seems Dowager has lost another supporter but gained Yu Ra. And I am enjoying how smart Ari is - she's treating Dowager the way she deserves to be treated.
So Hyuk has probably figured who truly murdered his wife. It seems we're getting closer to solving the mystery in the diary. Also, Yu Ra's plans are scary - it's so sad, how she hates the child she had with the man she loved.
I'm wondering what role Ari's mother and Yu Ra's ex will play in the future. They'll probably testify against Dowager's false allegations. Can't wait for tomorrow!
Excellent drama, despite all the behind the scenes goings on. I only have a couple problems overall.First, either…
I feel the same about Joon Hee - I think his character is why I really kept watching the drama. I loved the development from being a druggie to becoming a righteous person. They never made the rape case clear. However, when Joon Hee hits Beom in the end, it was out of anger as well, like the flashbacks seem to indicate. It's a mixture of self defence and anger.
The sudden reveal of motive of the main character feels disjointed from the previous episodes. Moreover, the change in lead actress emphasizes it enough to make me feel we are dealing with a new character. I think the writer and director failed to construct the character along each episode, which is a big flaw. I am watching it for the Four and the detective now, since their characters are the only one not making giant leaps.
I love this drama so much! It is very addictive and interesting :D and the cast is awesome ♥ Love them all ♥…
You're not alone! I find the depth of the relationship of Wang Shik and Sunny beautiful and heart wrenching - their growing bond over their collective grief moved me. I really think romance is baseless without strong trust and friendship -and Lee Hyuk has failed in both areas.
Sunny will intervene, that's for sure. But how long will Woo Bin survive? He'll die in the end, it seems.
