I agree. But then I'm such a Jang Nara trash that I believe she can carry dramas on her small back.
Oh same! I am not a fan of all of her works. Like you put it so well, she has this charisma she can switch to suit her characters, which also makes them so different from each other but naturally makes them so pleasing to watch. So far in Oh My Baby, it is her delivery that was most pleasing to me.
Judging from the reviews here, it does not look like it will be as funny as The Fiery Priest, or be cohesive in its plotline. I was thinking of trying it out but... now I'm not so sure. Maybe I should check it out myself to make sure?
I almost completely agree ;)I felt a tiny bit disappointed in the drama giving such a big preference to Yi Sang…
I honestly don't mind the noona romance root either! Like you said, I'm hoping for equal screentime for all the main leads too. Currently I am hoping the drama is aiming to explore the leads in the first half for two episodes. Like Yi Sang was the main focus this week, then Jae Young for 3 and 4, and finally Eu Tteum for 5 and 6. After that we get equal time for all in the second half. Something like how they dealt with the leads in Age of Youth. However, this is just me hoping lol. Otherwise I would feel betrayed that we were led on the whole promotion period to believe that Ha Ri had to choose one of the three when there was essentially no choice at all.
All right, my thoughts so far: it was funny. The humour missed the mark sometimes though, but I'm fine with that as long as I enjoy the light-heartedness. I love Jang Ha Ri so far - she is blunt and very forward. Jang Nara has portrayed her brilliantly. All the actors are doing a good job so far with their characters. I also appreciate that the male leads are not your ideal men. They are not particularly very charming like they usually are in kdramas. Everyone is a little "clumsy" one way or another which is refreshing for a rom-com.
There is not much to say other than that the first two episodes set the tone of the drama pretty well. I did wish all the male leads got equal screentime (I expected Park Byung Eun to have as much screentime as Ko Joon, since they are the most likely candidates). I hope they will give us more insight into Ha Ri and Jae Young's history like they gave for Yi Sang and Ha Ri. I am not expecting any future between Eu Tteum and Ha Ri, though I would not mind being surprised with their friendship and maybe even mutual attraction. I am still personally rooting for Jae Young and Ha Ri, but there are 14 episodes left so I won't stick to anything. Let's see how it plays out.
So this was simply robbed of awards. It's so sad. If any drama deserves to be recognized, it's this. I'm so disappointed in Baeksang Arts Awards. You just cannot talk about good dramas and overlook this masterpiece.
Episode 4 was disappointing compared to others. I feel the supporting characters do not have much to offer. Let's see where this takes us! The main leads are great. I would love to see the husband's story further. I'm more curious about him
Saw the behind the scenes, and everyone was having fun. It looks like Jang Na Ra is more friendly with Park Byung Eun at the moment - and for good reason since he is so energetic. The three male leads are getting along really well too! It was nice to see them all laugh and joke around.
Shin Jae Ha's role has been made one of the main! I'm so glad for him. He has been getting offers from promising dramas - first VIP, now this. This is great! I'm happy to know my summer will be sort of busy with respect kdramas
I'm wondering why the date moved forward, but still cannot wait! I'm sort of glad that it will air around the time my semester will be wrapping up and most of the stressful things will be out of my way
