Bothered by Dongfang Qingcang having "a soul of King Kong"? (ep 2) Check out my topic in the discussion ;)

I've watched Goblin without many difficulties ;D It would be a perfect drama only if this shitty romance between main couple is wiped off :) Everything was off in it: the age gap, reasoning... actually why at all in the first place? Ugh... However I really liked interaction between male lead and second male lead, and as for romance the second couple was pretty nice and would be enough :)

I love love looooove it tremendously. I've enjoyed it to the fullest :D And it's that kind of drama: just to enjoy, a fantasy where you don't need to think about minimal realness ;) However it took me 2 eps to adjust myself to it - I was thinking of dropping it watching the first ep. I'm so glad I did not. What was discouraging me? Another xianxia with extremely young/innocent/just born but looking adult female lead. I hope that one day they will not be that... I don't know how to say it with one word :D And if we start to think about their age gap... it's better not to think about it XD But at least she's not plain stupid to the very end. She has her moments too :)
I'm also not so fond of strange greeting techniques and hmm.. those helmets? That one wore by Changheng, oh and that frame of Dongfang Qingcang - how could he fight with it? or even move freely? But at least that one looked better ;) To the point:
The casts are perfect for the roles. The OST is pretty. The pace is quite fast, no necessary dwelling on smth. Everything was well thought out. Oh and it was funny as f... as hell! :D I laughed so hard many times. But it can make you sad too. Surely it's rather emotional to the point exhaustion, but I count it as a merit.
I will (and I am acutallyXD) watch it again. There's a certainty of rewatching (not just "high rewatch value").
I was only slightly dissatisfied with the ending though. But I'm not sure yet what would I like it to be exactly. Maybe 1 or 2 calmer episodes, after all those ordeals, for the closure would be sufficient?

I have the same! I've recently tried for the third time (I guess), watched 3 eps and dropped it again XD I will try again though bc everyone says it's so good... As for me, and I'm on the 16th ep, it's rather boring, acting too stiff (Lan Zhan), special effects are just horrible as well as fighting scenes. I fancy only Wei Wu Xian a little ;)

Exactly. I've finally started "Waikiki" after reading that it's SO FUNNY, like the funniest fun of fun ever, but after 6 eps I'm disappointed. Yes it is quite funny, there are moments when you can smile, sometimes laugh a little (but it may be with a strong disgust, like in the scene with crying and screaming well-known actress who played a mother of a kidnapped kid) but surely not LOAO. I absolutely don't understand how it might be "the funniest k-drama ever". Maybe that kind of drama is just not mine.
It kinda reminds me of "Friends" - although I didn't watch it. But I've tried, I know a fan of the series, and I didn't like it.

I also watched the tv series - and I loved it. That's why i (finally) saw the movie. However all the time I've thought that changeing appearance EVERY SINGLE day to a whole different person is too much of a carousel. Like no one would be able endure it mentally. Nor the person nor their closest friends. Also what about the neighbours? Not to mention a lover.
It's too much unbelievable.

I'm not sure about "potential" (I've seen 3 eps) but it felt like a waste of time. So I dropped it. Still I do agree it's not the worst thing everXD

Sooooo true. But I'm not sure if everyone there were Americans. Without the masked foreigners club and the ending it would be a perfect drama.

I think it could have been expected because of the amout of really stupid and cliche lines he had to say. It would be tough for any one XD
The whole drama was good, I gave it strong 6,5 ;) because some scenes and lines were just too much for me to digest :P and I didn't like the music. Other than that it was funny, without unnecessary dramaticism, light (not to say silly;)), acting was ok, and I liked Kim Se Jeong's voice :D
The drama was enjoyable but I doubt it has any rewatch value.

P.S. Oh I and have some regret that it seems to be "in fashion" in asian dramas (maybe it comes from the chinese ones?) to put some-year separtion and when they finally meet after a long time, they engage the same day. Here at least the main couple was in touch but sometimes they don't contact each other at all. It's really strange and prone to divorce (imo).

I had to drop it after 11 eps because of very boring female lead character, dull romance out of nowhere - it was like: ok. 10 eps have passed so we need to start with some love. Totally unconvincing.
At first the part about the game was interesting and I wanted to know more but HOW could it work actually? Seeing without lenses, teleporting into the game after being dead... That's too much.
I call it just a one bad screenplay. The plot was weak, so as the characters. However making a ball less female character that can't do anything isn't a misogyny. :)

It did cringe me a little by how serious their "romance" was shown. And it wouldn't change much if Issei was just-18yo. Not much of a differance. And when he said "let's get marry when I turn 18" uhhh that killed everything. He's too immature (both age and character) to be making such statement. I hope the drama makers didn't make their romance that grave and serious.
Nothing new that adult actors play roles of teenagers, but Maeda Gordon (Issei) really does look like an adult (being only 21 you ;D). We are being told that he's 17, and the serious romance... it's a mess.
I find whole drama little too exagerrating, maybe shallow sometimes? Or maybe it's the execution that failed - another example is Kikuno. So evil and "bad" that it had stopped being convincing. However only at the end, for first half it was ok :)
8. I might be wrong but weren't the teenagers only that called Hayame "obasan"? Also I don't remember if it was obasan (aunt) or obaasan (grandmother) - might be both though. Since kids and youngsters often use "oneesan" "obasan" and "obaasan" instead of the name if they want to be rude they will address an adult with a word suggesting he/she is older. That applies to men also.

An interesting rating you've made ;) 8/10 I would think it's "great, recommended, high rewatch value". I gave it 5/10.

I didn't delete anything. Only one part when I wrote I've heard only about Nigerian leader to speak about it but you wrote about " African leaders", I was confused if there were so many of them. I've checked and there were "more than a few" so I deleted that part. Nothing else.

And I recognized such cases about forbiding to entry the train. It's sick. I saw also a Black guy pushing ukrainian woman to get on one. Should she adress him as a racist? He's stronger, bigger so he uses his advantages? I assume majority of Black people in Ukraine is not Ukrainian - like me studying and living for few years or even 15 in England won't make me British. Isn't it how it is? I might say I regard England as my home but still I;ll be a foreigner without a british passport.

But you have heard about Black people who safely went through the borders, right? I know it evokes less emotions than mistreatments but in my opinion - and I really hoped for that since I doubt there're any statistics - the majority managed to run away from the war zone. Even with unfair delays (like hours, maybe 1 or 2 days at most), they didn't have to camp out under russian attack. If you hear about such case let me know.

If I knew where he is from I would write a country name... I posted it to explain why ppl might be suspicious of a refugees similar to that one. If he was hungry he should have asked in the food stalls that were prepared for refugees. I bet he would get help. Why a knife...? It's so absurd that I'm waiting for the news that russian have send him to plant animosities between citizens and foreigners ;)

I didn't say "it's ok" to be prejudiced againt Russian now. I did say it's a thing one can expect, especially in the war zone. And we have to watch out (ourselves) it won't go overboard.
You should add to your example that US attacked Russia and Russians are now hostile to Americans or even everyone who speaks english on their land even if they don't wear uniforms. That's exactly how it would be - not stating it's "fair" or "ok" though. Don't forget "a war zone" is a special kind of a place. It's not only about assuming supporting a politician based on someone's nationality.

I don't know why answers are lining one after another so I can't tell what you mean in few of them :(
