I was going to shelve this series when covid came into play, but I have to remember that I was a full adult at that time and that maybe some kids have a different nostalgia about it. Not having to go to school for 1-2 years would have been great for an introvert like me. As a working adult, I know so many people who suffered with illness and economically during that time, so it's difficult for me to see it as a plot device.
I decided to press on because they resolved it pretty quickly and the chemistry between Kla and Cake is unreal. I cannot imagine a different actor playing Cake, since Junior is doing such a great job. At this point, it's hard for me to imagine Non in the role, and I like Non.
I enjoyed this adaptation very much. Hopefully they will produce the other volumes of this series. It looks like they left if open for that to happen. Kobayashi did a great job playing the mercurial Taichi.
SO GOOD. I wish there was a clumsy kiss in the last ep :/ I guess some people are already complaining about the…
The source material did not have a kiss, so they just stuck to it, plus it will decrease the amount of narrow minded email and social media garbage that they would have received. I didn't like the flash backs, or Ishida running, but I did love how it turned out. The puritans won't understand that Ishida wearing pajamas at breakfast means they did more than kiss the night before.
If you didn't catch it, that catchy opening song in the show is called Frito and it is sung by our handsome older…
I knew that Yamazaki sang it, but I didn't know that the name of the song is Frito. I liked the way Sensei handled the terrible comments during the live. I had a co-worker who was married to a much older person, and they were together until the husband passed. That's the downside, that she was a young widow, but they loved and cared for each other very much. I think adults who love one another should not be stared at, or be subject to unkind comments. I really loved this series for showing that even though they tried to be apart for "society's sake," in the end, love won.
Wonderful series based on a cute and touching manga. There's no sex or kissing in the manga and they stayed true to this in the adaptation. I really liked Sakai in this role. There's just something expressive about his face, and when Ishida wants to have sex with Sensei, he conveys this in such a charming manner.
I think if you go into the series realizing that Off and Gun are not the main focus of this series, you will be fine. I went into the series thinking that Off and Gun were the stars, and when another character was the main focus for several episodes, I was annoyed. The acting and set design are nice. My biggest gripe is, this is probably one of the best characters that Off has ever played, but since he and Gun were on the back burner, I didn't get to see as much of him playing Jane, as I would have liked. I'm not a Babii, so what I'm saying about Off's acting in this series is fro the heart. In my opinion, in this series, he is even better than Gun, one of the best actors on the GMMTV roster.
It's too bad that GMMTV lost track of this series and only regained footing at the end of the series. Episode 11 is the first series I have not fast-forward through since episode 4. Had they not spent so much time on the love triangle, we could have had full episodes on Pie and Pah. They also could have delved into what's in Ryan's head. I'm disappointed that this talented cast has been wasted.
As a viewer, Yu singing was a surprise, since Yu saw Wan sing to Ai. Maybe he was trying to replace the memory. Yo's rap was like a 5th grader's rap to me. However, if I were on the receiving end of these gestures and really cared, I would be embarrassed but touched. I am not a romantic person, but I really like these characters, so I guess that I could empathize with Ai and Ing.
Why is everyone hating?😠Like, am I the only one who absolutely LOVED this series? I've seen so many negative…
Some people do not understand that intimacy and sex are separate. Takara opening up, and moments when they are sitting in the apartment or in a tent are very intimate. I think many people do not understand Japanese culture. The way Taishin speaks in the no-desu form with Takara, which he does not do as much others shows his wanting to engage with Takara. Then there's Takara telling Taishin about his past, which he considers shameful, Taking the last train to see him, and kissing him on the street shows great intimacy. I loved it, but I dislike or am disappointed in shows other people love, such as the Thai version of My Love Mix-Up, so I get it.
Tutor's face is so angelic, and when coupled with his soft voice, it makes me fall for Shan. The conversation between Shan and Ozone was one of the best platonic scenes I've ever seen with Tutor showing Shan's vulnerability, and depth of feeling for Obaun.
Loved this series. Iwase and Konishi did an excellent job with this series. I like the little changes they made to the manga, but they pretty much stuck to the source material. I love slice of life and odd couples so this was my bidoru.
I really enjoyed this series. I didn't realize how much sex appeal Sailub has until this series. I wish it were a 10 episode series so they could have spent more time on JJ and Metas like in the novel.
A wonderful adaptation of an 18+ manga series. They managed to cover 4 volumes of material and convey the emotional part in such a sweet and caring way. The manga is much more sexual, with the exception of leaving those scenes out, they followed the source material closely. The actors did such a good job!
I decided to press on because they resolved it pretty quickly and the chemistry between Kla and Cake is unreal. I cannot imagine a different actor playing Cake, since Junior is doing such a great job. At this point, it's hard for me to imagine Non in the role, and I like Non.
