I just wanted to encourage you to not stifle your opinions in the future because of the response. I agree with the synopsis being from the manga, but on this platform, many people do not read the source material and do not realize they are angry about a story that is more than 10 years old. I'm glad to have met a fellow manga reader though.

Loved the original and read the novels, although they are rough to read. Didn't watch the China reboot because this story is not a bromance and when they gender swapped the child, I figured it was to make it more heteronormative or not to "taint" the little boy with two homosexuals living there. To be fair, I haven't even watched Untamed because I read the novels. This series is a huge disappointment, and I just hope they put the series to rest. They won't be able to do Volume 2. because Mac will still be underage. What a wreck.

I hope DOMUNDI will have a series with Mark & Gems and Willi and Focus. I didn't even think of these couples, until this series. Yim and Tutor delivered this episode.

I really liked this series until the finale. It went from a sweet romance to and episode of Scooby Doo. Most of the episode was a rewind. I liked both couples and would have liked to have seen Af and Tim develop instead of the flashbacks.

I Hear the Sunspot only covered the first 2 volumes of a multi-volume manga series. BL readers in Japan are used to this type of release system. Unlike most international viewers, many of the Japanese viewers of the drama will have read the manga, so they know there is more to this story. Sugar Dog Life is only one volume, so there will be an ending

Don't take it to heart. The manga is from 2011 so the story has been out there for 13 years. and fans started translating it 10 years ago, so we forget and just think it's an old story. Many live action viewers did not start in the manga scene, so to some viewers, it's new.

James would have been great playing Pop in Addicted. They would not have to censor it to they extent they have and James is a little older looking, so it would bridge the age gap with August. No offense to the actor playing Pop, but he should be in Love Sick instead of Addicted. Sorry for the tangent.

I think he is doing a good job playing him. I also read the novel, and Elis is slow when it comes to his feelings. Lashing out and playing games is part of his immaturity.

The style of music "Magnet" sings is not really my style, but I liked the song by Orca. I'm not sure why they put that blonde hairpiece on Jame, it looks terrible.

I like it too and do not realize why they are postponing it. I read some of the translated novel and it is hard for me to follow because it is in chatroom convos, then narrative paragraphs. The live action is easy to follow because they wear different costumes depending on if they are in chat or real life.

With the real life age gap and one of the leads being a minor, they cannot follow canon. I'm going to finish this with an "original story" mindset. With August as one of the leads, this could have been a really good adaptation. No offense to Mac, he would have been good in Love Sick 2024 with minors in most of the major roles.

I'm not sure if there is an official translation because the manga is pretty old and I read a fan translation of it many years ago. If it isn't official on Amazon, search for it and you can read it online.

They should have casted 18+ actors because the novel is 18+. Consenting to sex in real life is different from consenting to sexual acts on film, so the production staff should have thought about this. I agree about the incompetence. I was hoping that Volume 2 would be remade, but now, I think they should stop.

To me, they would not have cast an under age actor if they had any intention of staying true to the story. They would have held an 18+ audition if they wanted to stick to the source material, minus the SA. As you said, they removed the grit of the original, but they also removed the passion. The passion is even missing when there is conflict between the biological parents and sons. At this point, as with the 2Moons franchise, let's just stop since they cannot do the source material justice. And I was looking forward to Novel 2 being covered, but with a 16 year old actor, that isn't going to happen.

I'm worried because the manga series is dark. The author's current ongoing manga is even darker, so I'm feeling residuals from reading it. I'll check back to read the comments.

I binged this to catch up and am very disappointed. Please just let this franchise die if you cannot find an 18 year old actor and stay true to this story. I suspected they were under age due to lack of chemistry and intimate scenes, but I didn't realize there was a big age gap between the actors. I purposely did not watch the China remake because I knew it would be like this. I watched the original and read the novels and this story is not Addicted, not even close. They cannot even build this into Volume 2, so please just put this to rest. There is no passion in this version and the original story is full of passion. The novel has to be censored due to SA, that is understandable, but to lose the whole story is so disappointing.

James looks older and his voice sounds older than an average 20 year old. Maybe he was an early bloomer.
