The potential of Chinese BLs is really on the spectrum. Taiwanese BLs are just like Thai BLs but there is really…
I partly agree with you, but I dislike most Korean BL despite the high budgets. Before the ban, China produced the best BL content. Not all had good cinematography and they were low budget, but the actors went with the emotion of the characters, which showed in their intimate (not just sex) scenes. Even in 2024, Korea and Japan have the worst intimacy with disgusted looks, dead fish kisses, or fake camera shot kisses. Old Chinese BL did not shy away from lovers being in love and that was 10 years ago. I hate to think of where they would be today, had the ban not taken place because it makes me sad.

I finally watched all four episodes and I'm not sure where the complaints are coming from. Hetero Chinese dramas are way worse than this one, as far as violence, sexuality and bad moral behavior.

Title Meet You at the Blossom Spoiler
Read at your own risk. They had to make changes for the series.
Yes, the book makes it easier to understand the how the Xue, Jin, and royal family history works, but there is SA and although the MC is 19, the ML is still 15. From what I read on MDL, people get freaked out by these types of age gaps.

After watching the trailer, I did not have high expectations for this drama, but I really like it so far. Although I don't like the old school Myer-Briggs personality test results flashing everywhere, I like that God and Diew are really listening to each other.

I enjoyed this series very much, especially San realizing that he loves Wee, and not Wad as Wee, or even Wad. I just want to know where the location of San's house is. I wonder if it is a museum or an office building.

I'm so glad that iQIYI is also airing the original version in Mandarin. The Thai dubbing was driving me crazy!
I just found out that the Thai actor, Achi was actually speaking Thai during his lines in the cave. Maybe his voice was not dubbed in the Thai voice track.

I'm even more impressed by this cast! Production uploaded a video of Li Le reacting to the cave scene and he said that Achi only spoke Thai, so they had to use a certain word cue to let the Chinese actors know the line had ended. These guys are great.

I can't stand the Bachelor, Bachelorette. I also do not like reality TV with all of the drama and bickering. From the synopsis, this looks like the Real World from back in the day, and I'm not sure that I can handle dumb drama. Maybe I'll try one episode in the future.

I'm glad people are enjoying this. I don't watch dating shows so I won't watch this, but I clicked here because I thought it was a drama. Have fun!

Having read the manga, I was wondering how they would bring it to life since the age gap is huge, but they have done a fantastic job so far. The manga is more slice of life, not sexual, so they have something to work with, but this cast is fantastic so far. The actor who plays the ex seems really good too. Frito is doing fantastic too.

Preach! It’s like two guys kissing is somehow the worst thing imaginable. Seriously, some of the most disturbing…
One of the more disturbing scenes was, a husband took his mistress to his home, and the young daughter (young elementary school) confronted her by stairs. The little girl lost her balance and grabbed the arm of the mistress. The mistress shook off the girl's hand and the girl fell down the stairs, and was unconscious for many days. This same mistress and the husband later took the unconscious little girl out of the hospital, while they plotted a murder for hire of the child's mother. And I only watch clips. In most shows there is usually a miscarriage and they show blood running down legs of the woman. But gay is bad.

I'm sad, but I'm not as sad about Addicted because it ended at the end of Volume 1, but I'm still hurt over Love is More than a Word having the whole middle part missing. I also want to see Volume 2 of Addicted, but because the plot involves the military, I do not think it will ever happen out of China.

If they didn't make the laws 10 years ago, China would be the leader in BL. They were producing great content mostly on shoestring budgets.

That was never a problem with JBL. They have talented writers. Does not mean they couldn't botch the script, but…
When every other page of the manga is the couple having sex, that poses a problem. But there are a few volumes so I'm sure they can work it out. The cast looks like they fit the roles. I haven't watched it yet, but thanks for letting me know that it has a good start.

When I had written a negative comments and review for We are, I got accused of being hater who can't enjoy simple…
I liked We Are (should have been 12 episodes though), and I like Love Sea, but I'm not a fan of MLMU Thai version. I don't hate it, but could drop it and be okay with it. I have read the manga and watched the Japanese version, and I know that is influencing my opinion. I am a very lenient and generous critic, I like almost everything, even shows other people hate, but I can't get on board with this. I think that Gemini and Fourth are excellent actors, so it must be the writing and direction. In contrast, I read the manga, watched the film and am now watching the series, Hidamari ga Kikoeru and am not having the same content fatigue. I'm more disappointed that I feel this way.

I like Gemini and Fourth but I am not really into this series, partly because I've read the manga and watched the JBL version, and this does no do justice to the source material. This should have been an 8 episode series. I even started on Episode 3 and realized that I should have waited until episode 6. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. The eraser club and the handshake is just silly.
