I thought minors were the majority. Porn is so easily accessed now compared to in my youth, so adults can see the real thing, rather than needing to see it in a series format. You make a great point about extended puberty mindset.

Since I'm not a kid, no I do not think KP portrays adult relationships. From the comments I see on MDL BL boards, viewers seem to want/like tongue kissing, bare chests and simulated sex. You don't need to see a bare azz to infer that the characters are naked.

The ratings drop because we aren't bawling our eyes out or watching nekkid play. I think MDL is mostly people still in puberty. They don't understand adult relationships and work life yet. Not trying to be condescending, just going by the comments posted. Get ready to call the waaaaaambulance.

I really like this show. I know this may sound lame, but the English they are speaking is understandable. I have watched some (mostly Japanese) series where the "fluent" speaker makes absolutely no sense. I give them credit because it is very difficult to speak a second language, and maintain the fluency for several scenes. I study another language and it's difficult to do. Maybe these used Up's English school ( I don't know if he owns it but he is on the promotional posters) to coach the actors.

To me it is the directing because even the bullies and Pat's friends are over the top.

I can't remember all that came out in 20-21 haha. My two favorites are Cherry Maho, and A Tale of a Thousand Stars. I can't stand angst, or melodrama, so fan favorites are not usually mine. The two winners so far in 2023 (for me) are I Will Knock You, and Moonlight Chicken. I'm currently watching Bokura no Shokutaku, and I am enjoying it so far. I have been watching gay films, and then BL as long as you, but I have different tastes than most BL viewers on this forum. I really like slice of life stories, and the lack of kissing doesn't bother me. I still love Big Eden even after all these years. Hopefully things will pick up now that covid restrictions are finally being lifted even by the strictest countries.

This was a very cute short film. I enjoyed it very much.

Maybe they should have just separated this from the parent story and used the same actors, with different names, affiliations.

I thought the Korean comment was stupid, but unfortunately, looking "Korean" is the hot thing right now, at least in Japan and Thailand. I recently visited both countries, and the "Korean" look is popular right now. I say "Korean" because in reality they are copying K-Pop artists and actors, not the average Korean man or woman.

I think it would need to be more than 2 episodes. Tess is such an idiot that they would need a whole series! Especially if his parents kick him out after experiencing a great son like Talay.

Iijima is growing on me as Minoru. He is still a little pretty for me, but he has good chemistry with Inukai and Maeyama. This adaptation is very well done so far. Japan BL is hit or miss for me due to some actors being obviously uncomfortable being intimate (not just sexually) with another man, and the 2 Ken doll kisses, but Japan does slice of life dramas best in my opinion.

After watching the pilot, I'm on the fence. I don't like this type of story, especially with two different love interests. I dropped 609 Bedtime Story after two episodes, but I enjoyed Triage. I find it hard to get emotionally attached to the torn between two lovers trope. I'll give this series a couple of episodes before i decide.

No, but they should have left the buzz cut on Frank so that I wouldn't get so distracted by the wig. Lee Long is such a good actor that I want to slap him as much as Night and Gear to.

I held off watching this because I was afraid they would mess it up compared to the manga. Although the casting of Minoru is still a little different from the what I imagined (too "pretty" compared to the manga), the acting has won me over.

I'm glad the boss gave Uea a voucher for mental health treatment. I don't think executive offices normally have CCTV, and the convo with the boss would not be in a corridor, but hey, it moved the plot forward.

It was nice to see Uea allow himself to trust King. Sometimes you just need one person to believe you, in order to gather the strength to move forward. Some people are scared to report or seek help because they are afraid of not being believed. or shunned. I wanted to give Uea a hug, and I think that James is doing a great job portraying Uea's vulnerability, and coming to his decision to trust.

I absolutely love this manga. I'm hoping that they don't ruin it with dead fish intimacy.

That's sad because I don't even watch Korean BL anymore unless they are complete and get positive reviews. That's how terrible Korean BL is in my opinion, despite the high budget, and gorgeous, surgically altered faces. I'll take low budget BL out of Vietnam instead. This series doesn't have subs so I can't get invested in this series.

The sister looks like an adult, so she should stay in the house while her parents are in prison.
