Lol some psycho Mew stans doesn't watch this show and boycotting it just because Art is in the cast and I'm only…
I want Art to have success, and I'm glad that he is working as an actor again. I have always liked him. Both Mew and Art have delulu fans. The "Baby Art" crowd can be just as dumb. They rallied the troops when Mew got Tharn Type. Art and Mew are civil toward each other, the fans should follow their example.
I was hoping the half-sister really wants a relationship with Ai. Then we found out that she is an agent for her mother, and tried to trick Ai into meeting with the egg donor. Hopefully she will stand up to her mom, if she really wants Ai in her life.
This manga has 5 volumes already. I will check it out the next time I'm in Japan. Maybe they have slice of life…
Thanks for letting me know. I want to try to find his autobiographical manga the next time I'm in Japan. After watching this series, I kind of fell for the fact that he creates different types of characters. It makes me want to learn more about him.
a lot of things i feel were left in the air-- would've love a bit more background on issei and mamoru's relationship…
I would also like to know more about their high school days. It looks like Mamoru always cared about Issei. I would also like to see their lives after they start to date.
So all Name’s friends went to college and he sits around at home doing nothing? I assume his home-schooling…
It looks like he has been a shut in. Maybe he thought that his relationship with Em wouldn't change, but was wrong. I think that Name should find something to do, where he still feels safe. His mom keeps pushing him to talk, but doesn't really try to involve him in other activities. They can cook together, build models, something that he can meet others with that common interest. I'm not sure what will happen with Em and Name, but if Em has regrets, Name should make him work for his forgiveness.
We naysayers are using this comment section correctly when we critique the show. You, however, are using it incorrectly…
I get it, other opinions are wrong compared to yours. When people don't agree call them names. I didn't mention anything about gay people, you did. Thanks for rant. I'm done with this conversation.
What the f*** are you on about? Nobody's ragging on Japanese culture as a whole, we're just tired of bogus bl's…
Maybe you should direct your derision toward the gay manga artist who created this story. Not everyone has the societal privilege that you do. Please set him straight on how he should act and think as a gay man, as you are the self-appointed official authority of what is incorrect gay behavior. Talk about bigotry. Have a nice day. This discussion is just going in a circle.

I didn't call you anything. My post was a general comment, of my opinion, not directed to anyone. If I wanted to call you that, I would just respond to a post.
First of all I haven't started to watch this yet but now that it's completed I'm about to start. Before that I…
I'm not sure if you know this, but his name is MINAMOTO Kazuki, and he came out in a manga he wrote. As a trans woman, do you think that characters such as Daisy in Secret Crush on You, or the multiple trans women who are in Thai BL are a step in the right direction? I would love to see a trans woman in a lead role.

I agree with you. I think that like any genre, BL is allowed to have a range, from rated G to NC. I'm not sure why BL has to be this sacred genre, that requires perfection at all times. There are many gay writers, directors, actors, etc., in western countries, but they are not producing a fraction of what is coming out Asia. If people really think the west can do it better, they should pressure western LGBT writers, directors and actors to make high quality LGBT content, for the community.
I like KabeKoji because it shows that gay people are in different walks of life. The mangaka is a gay man, who mostly writes shoujo/josei manga. Ironically, most of his works are labelled "smut," so this manga artist knows about sex, but chose not to make this work in the smut category. I'm not sure why he made this choice, but I respect it. In my opinion, the series is structured like a Japanese comedy - there is an announcer style narrator, and at times, they show SFXs on the screen. The main character drives some people nuts because he overthinks everything, and has anxiety about his life. It won't be for everyone. I won't spoil it, but Issei publicly does something much more powerful than a kiss.

I saw the manga on Amazon Japan. I love Japan, and was sad that I couldn't go due to covid. I think that you would love Japan, the food is great and so is the culture. I really love Kabe Koji because the characters are unusual for BL manga. I read that the mangaka is gay, but he usually draws shoujo manga. I hope that he makes more BL.

Yes, I'm sure most Japanese people would think it's an honor that you are bestowing your superior point of view on a bunch of tight ass Japanese people.
