A trailer ended up in my recommends today from 3 years ago where Tommy was going to play Jade and Jimmy was going to play Mai. Middleman was supposed to air in 2021, with James and Net being the supporting cast. Maybe they've had to redo a lot of the shows due to cast changes. Maybe Tutor will come in at the very end, and we will go straight to Middleman. Maybe?

I'm very proud of Uea and glad that he told off his egg donor. He did this in front of his half-sister (I make this distinction because her father is the pervert) who tries to assume the Hero role, and he may need to cut her off too, if she continues to try to pressure him to be part of the dysfunctional family system. Some people who are abused never get to the point where they can let go. There is a lot of victim blaming here, but this is an internet forum, where judging others while spouting off SJW mantras go hand in hand. People who work in helping professions know that you need to meet the client where they are, not where you want them to be, or compare their story to yours. I'm hoping that Uea will now be able to have real intimacy with King.

Uea finally told his c#unt egg donor off and his pervert step-father in front of the half-sister who can no longer pretend she doesn't know how evil her parents are. Unfortunately in life, there are many people like Uea. Many of them end of in the prison system because of drugs, but even then they want nothing more than their mother's love. Uea resigned and told Krit off. I'm proud of him. Some people stay enmeshed for life.

Yes, Uea is abused physically and mentally by his mother, as well as financially exploited. They show her hitting him and locking him in a bathroom in response to him telling her the stepfather was trying to abuse him. Krit is a boss at work who his hitting on (sexually, not physically) Uea and giving sexual pressure. I'm not sure why Krit is at the mother's house, but since Krit is rich, Uea's mom is trying to sell Uea for money.

MDL is the emo branch. Everything sucks or it's a masterpiece. I like this series.

I really like this series but some of the viewers are struggling with the maternal and sexual abuse that is depicted. The maternal physical and psychological abuse is overt, while the sexual abuse is implied by touches on the shoulder, face area. From my worldview, the abuse is highly sanitized, but everyone has their threshold. Like any relationship that starts as NSA, there isn't much emotional intimacy, so now that feelings are involved, they are struggling to bridge that gap. The King character does not know about Uea's abuse history, so he cannot provide the emotional support that he would most certainly give because he obviously has feelings for Uea. Hope this helps.

I figured out why I'm struggling with this. It reminds me of the 80's teen movies, like 16 Candles, down to the score. I'm only on Ep 3, so I'm still willing to give it a shot.

That was my problem with the Seven Days movie adaptation - I thought the actors were a little old for the parts. That was 2015 though when mostly manga readers watched, so they didn't care as much. It is one of my favorite manga so I was disappointed, but I still enjoyed the films. I keep hoping that Thailand remakes it as a series, but they seem to be trending toward hot sex, and Seven Days is a sweet romance.

They wanted to really age-up the characters. The actors are good, but the actors in the series were so good that it took me a little time to adjust. Still worth it to watch the movie.

Though not as good as the manga, two part movies, Seven Days: Monday-Thursday, and Seven Days: Friday-Sunday.

I also recommend the series, His, and the movie His. You will need to watch the series first because the movie is a follow-up. Just be warned that the movie recasts the characters and they have no resemblance to the first pair of actors.

I don't think they nor their managers would have accepted this script. It's too bad because they are wasting the talent.

En of Love, Love Mechanics, This is Love Story. En of Love Tossara is about Bar and Gun. Yin and War are actors from the original, playing Mark and Vee, and their story, Love Mechanics, ended up being the most popular.

I just listened to this. I was at Siam Discovery having a leg massage and ATLAS was performing outside. I had no idea who they are, but it was very hot at around noon, and they were giving their all on the stage, dancing and singing. The fans were giving their all too holding up their signs. I'm so glad they have the opportunity to do this OST.

All of the cast changes are confusing to me. I don't like the Yiwah replacement, and where's Mark, Vee or Nuea? I'm just grateful they call Bar and Gun by name or I would keep forgetting who they are (I'm still used to the originals). I think the MLs are likable, I just want them to move the story a little faster.

Having worked with women who have experienced CSA, child abuse and chronic, pervasive family trauma, I think this series is doing a good job showing a highly sanitized version of reality.

As an aside, when I see Krit on the screen, I mentally yell, "underling" at him.
