You want "two strangers ".according to her. They are strangers. You want her to talk out her whole revenge and plan to this person she doesn't know. that doesn't make sense.
As for the male lead. He can't trust anybody right now because he doesn't know the truth. So why is he going to talk it out with her who seems very suspicious to him. That also doesn't make sense.
These two are using each other. They are playing a chess game. Both trying to gain more information and what they could use to have the gaining Advantage for their revenge. He doesn't even trust his two companion who is helping him and know the truth. His trauma has a wall up that is a barrier.
One scene in a novel. One of his follower said something about not knowing something. And the other one said don't take it personally. He has trauma from that past experience. Therefore he does not fully trust anybody even though who are clearly helping him at this moment
Hence the title of this drama. But by the third quarter when things are revealed. They talked it out. They have understanding and respect for each other. And they work together continuing their same goal

I read the novel. They don't have many misunderstanding.
His issue of being dead is not a misunderstanding between them. That is a known as "fact" of the country. She did not misunderstand that he's dead. He is dead according to the the whole country.
1. How are they going to talk it out when she don't even know who he is as this new person. She doesn't know she could trust him.
She just met this person. She just going to talk it out to this random person that she doesn't know. How does that even make sense. It's not like she met him her fiance again and they continue to misunderstand each other. She met a stranger that she doesn't even remember.
As for him he doesn't know if he could trust her and he needs to gather the facts.
2. When they found out the truth. They easily talked it out and work together.
The only misunderstanding they had between is that she betrayed him.

I read the novel. I feel like you can't really hate on the main leads. They never intentionally try to hurt each other.
My understanding is that over do is the push and pull was too much...too much angst and misunderstanding.
I also hope this drama does good writing for the scriptm the novel was good.
I also understand the high anticipation. I never have high anticipation for any drama. I get excited about a drama but I don't fully have high expectation because you never know how it would vibe with you.

You observe what's going on and figure it out. By the third quarter. things are cleared and they just talked it out like mature adults and work together.
The main leads give me the vibe of the second leads of my journey to you. Except they share the same goals
