I read the novel and the ml character is very complex and smart. Along with the FL character. Both are good characters. Even the villain
Even if it is female-centric. Which I feel it isn't. But that's my perspective. The ml character is a well-written character versus his character from my journey to you.
It is a challenging and complex character for the three main leads. It will challenge all of their acting ability for better growth and development in their skills

They had 1 misunderstanding that cause the break up....communication issues because ML is causing his own self inflicting pain because of his trauma.
There was lack of good communication in the beginning
