So true, but Ju Jingyi used to be really good. Her acting in the legend of Yunxi was good and she had plain makeup back then. I think her company promoted her idol image and forced her to act pretty in her subsequent dramas.

How is this drama doing internationally? I know that in China it has a lot of hate because of the mc's face change. Avenue X said it is like a science experiment, where Ju Jingyi is the controll variable because her acting is the same across all dramas. I only watched two of her dramas before: the legend of yunxi and sword and fairy 4, and I think she acted differently but who knows. There is this one video on billibilli where apparantly LXY acting got worse after acting alongside JJY. I think many chinese netizens are mad because they thought LXY had good chemistry with the guest star, and now they don't feel the same chemistry with JJY. I know cnetz tend to be harsh, but some international fans can be lenient. So what are all of your honest opinions.

From my knowledge the drama merged the first male lead and 2nd male lead together, so Liu Yuning's character is actually the 2nd male lead in the novel but they made him the male lead in the drama. The 2nd male lead's character is probably more interesting anyway, can't wait for the show to air.

There isn't that many pool scenes, but they do use many different techniques. I don't know if its passable, but as a general viewer it is entertaining.
