Also Ning Shisan said that Ding Hui gave him the horse, Ding Hui died at ep 39. All of these suggest that Ning Shisan is here to collect Chu Yue and bring her to the afterlife.

Aside from the ambigious ending, I wished we got a proper ending for yy and ltg. I honestly wanted to see them happily married with kids. I understand that they had a political marriage and both of them loved another person, but I wished that after spending many years as a married couple they fall in love with each other. If someone would a fanfic of them I would love to read.
