Exactly! I wish more series were done from sources written by experts - whether gay men or just people who do their proper research and create sources closer to life. I found both My Ride and Bed Friend on Amazon, translated in English. Bed Friend was about $20 which is a lot for a kindle book, but I got it and Middleman’s Love. Both novels are fine, with a lot of attention to feelings and situations, with absolute minimum of sex scenes (fine by me, but just warning you). Sex scenes that were present were very awkward and glossed over, like a writer was very shy and inexperienced. I mention this because it was funny to me how Bed Friend is being promoted as hot and sizzling while the novel is anything but that 😂

Yes, exactly on all points. King and Uea are both very handsome, but differently. King is tall, dark and big ( in the novel he’s much bigger than Uea) while Uea is smaller and angelic. I guess for a typical BL they are typical top and bottom 🤷♀️ So yes, all tops are after Uea and while girls and bottoms are after King. I personally don’t like this rigid definition for them as it doesn’t work like that irl, but I am just telling you what’s in the novel. Honestly, so far I have read only My Ride the novel where those stereotypes were not followed (among Asian BLs). Then again, My Ride was written by a gay man, so… 🤷♀️ And the novel was better than the series as it had a big buff guy as a feminine Nadya. In the series, they substituted him with a GIRL. Why??? It’s a mystery. It could have been so funny and interesting if they just followed the source 🤦♀️
Those who have read the book, can you spoil me on KritWhat he really wants and what he's going to do for it.
Krit wants to get into Uea’s pants - very simple 🤷♀️ So he’s going to try to exhaust Uea by dumping a whole lot of work on him so that he stays after hours to catch him alone. King will figure it out and will stay with Uea pretending to do his overtime too. There will be a conflict as Krit will try to coerce Uea into a relationship. Once coworkers find out about it they support Uea, King tells the big boss and he surprisingly sends his nephew Krit away to a province. That’s the end of Krit 😊
what i wish for them to show in this serie is how uea healthily overcome his trauma, i had never seen a bl serie…
I wouldn’t keep my hopes up too high, though. If they follow the novel it won’t happen. BLs are a fantasy where love cures everything. I guess it’s as valid as a kiss waking up Sleeping Beauty from a coma or resurrecting her (depending on a version) 🤷♀️ Maybe I’ll live till the day they decide to use a professional help for cases like this one, but I highly doubt it 🤦♀️ Unless one of the MLs appears to be a shrink, of course. And why not? We’ve had ER doctors, surgeons, dentists. I think it’s prime time for a shrink to grace us with his presence! I would honestly love to see it. It could also be a special unit police procedural where he meets a cop and helps him solve cases while they have a romantic arc 🤷♀️

Yes! I was just thinking the same thing about the friend! He’s really cute and funny. I bet he’d be great as a ML in a BL 😻 He does have crazy energy that pulls me in - can only imagine what crazy ride he could take us on if he had lots of screen time! 😸

I think it’s awesome to have mature actors with tons of experience performing along with the young actors for an extended period of screen time, not just popping in for a scene or two as a token dad or mom.
We, as viewers, get great quality product, and the young actors get valuable feedback and direction from their more experienced colleagues. It’s a win-win to me! 🥰
