I guess now Sam has to let Mon go work elsewhere. Or, admit to her employees that she’s been a total bitch with her no-dating rule, apologize to everyone she kicked out just for dating within the company, offer them their jobs back, then remove the rule. Right? 🤷♀️
BLs overall do target straight women - that’s their bread and butter 😉So what’s different about this one?…
Yep, I certainly remember that grandpa was gay and happily lived with his partner 😊 I was really happy for him as he could afford to openly live his life and his family supported them both. But to engage a little boy to another child (I don’t even care about genders here) just because they are friends is a bit overly dramatic, at least to me. If my daughter had a little friend (again, don’t care about their gender) I wouldn’t even think about getting her engaged to that friend. I would be just happy that she has a buddy to play with and hope they can be friends forever and support each other. You don’t have to marry to support your friend, right? 🤷♀️ Otherwise, people would end up with whole harems 😉 Just to be clear - I liked the series, but this point seemed illogical to me and kind of threw me out of the story a bit.
Thank you so much to the whole crew for great series! I liked it a lot! The last episode was intense, and I am so glad we had a “hook” at the end for a potential 2nd season - maybe? Hopefully? Please? 😻🤩

I have to say that while I was pleasantly surprised with the arranged marriage plot, I am a very logical person and I really couldn’t find any logic in this particular arrangement. Normally, families would arrange a marriage for financial benefit of both families. Here, nothing was said about material benefits. Instead, all of a sudden gramps wants to marry off his little grandson to a slightly older boy just because they are friends 🤷♀️ I would understand if he told them to cherish their friendship, be there for each other etc. But why have them engaged??? That’s where they lost me plot-wise. It would make total sense to me if the families had a financial agreement before the kid was born and just decided to stick to it even though the baby was born a boy. Then we have a perfect premise for “enemies to lovers” and fighting the family. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me 😊

Thank you for responding 😊 I think I understand (I just woke up, too 😂). Yes, the whole premise of the show is pure fantasy. I really don’t see the elders arranging a marriage for two little boys in real life, especially when they live in the country where gay marriage is illegal. To me, though, it’s actually interesting and new since there are plenty of hetero stories like that but this one is the first one involving guys. Of course, hetero story would have an unwilling character in this arranged marriage and the trope would be “from enemies to lovers”. Here they made it very fluffy. It’s still entertaining to me (after all, I am the target audience 😂), although I would prefer “enemies to lovers” for this premise.
Nothing. Kuea is just being a brat. You would think he'd grown up after all they went thru but nope. And why can't…
I agree - it would be good for both of them if Kuea went to Korea, for example, to be a performer for a couple of years. I’m pretty sure he’d start missing his Hia and comfy life very soon - entertainment industry there is super demanding, while Kuea never had to do anything as rigorous as idol training. I have no idea how those kids survive - lots of respect for them.
Nothing. Kuea is just being a brat. You would think he'd grown up after all they went thru but nope. And why can't…
Thank you 😊 I feel better now that I am not the only one irritated with Kuea’s childish behavior. I mean, he’s only 21 and I honestly wouldn’t recommend anyone getting married that early nowadays. So I’m not too surprised by his immaturity, but I don’t know why Lian’s maturity doesn’t rub off on Kuea at least a little bit 🤷♀️ And when Lian said that he’s been waiting to get married for so long - I’m confused - still waiting for what? Sex? No, you’ve been happily having it for a year. Living together? No, done that as well. So waiting for what exactly? 🤔
I honestly don’t understand what would be so different for either Lian or Kuea when they get married. They’ve been living together, having sex and enjoying each other’s company for a year now. Legally, they can’t get married in Thailand (unless this series takes place in another universe). So I would think they’d have a lovely ceremony and a party for friends and family. So, what’s the problem? Have a ceremony and carry on just like you’ve been doing. If Kuea wants to perform he can do it whether they get married or not. 🤷♀️ I don’t think Lian would make him stay home after the ceremony, right? What am I missing here? 🤔
I think Semantic Error was also good in that respect. But dead fish kisses seem to be a staple of Kdramas overall…
Yes it was good 😊 and I agree - they could have done more, given the actors are mature and professional enough to give us a believable emotion. Also, I like Strongberry very much. Long Time No See in particular, speaking of depicting physical attraction between the leads. This company always casts actors who can show genuine emotion towards their partners, even if it’s not NC, like Choco Milk Shake which I loved.
Atleast we got our kiss I guess but it's a dead fish kiss no surprised. The only good kisses I have seen from…
I think Semantic Error was also good in that respect. But dead fish kisses seem to be a staple of Kdramas overall - hetero or BL. I don’t know if that’s a cultural thing or just the way they do movies. They can be eye-fucking each other for 15 episodes, then at the end of the 16th episode break into a “spectacular” dead fish kiss 🤦♀️ I’m not saying they should shove their tongues down each other’s throats, but at least make it believable that you maybe like your partner 🤷♀️😉
That saying is perfect. I will be using it someday, I'm sure!Anyway, as you say, Nueng is waving some red flags.…
Thank you 😊 I like this saying, too, and it does help in real life. I agree - Nueng needs some serious reflection and character growth. Given he’s a teenager, it shouldn’t be super hard for the writers to accomplish this. Hopefully, Palm will also get his character out of that perpetual attempt at submission and we’ll see a strong, smart man that he is.
I don’t think he’s playing a straight character. He’s playing a gay character pretending to be straight…
Yep, I love it when they bring in mature, experienced actors to support the story. They effortlessly give “the look” and we immediately understand the message! 🤩
I actually liked the way they showed that kiss between Ben and Nueng. It made perfect sense to be awkward: 1. None of them is overly experienced in intimacy to start with. 2. Ben likes Nueng but doesn’t want to scare him with shoving his tongue down Nueng’s throat (good boy). 3. Nueng is experimenting with Ben to see if he can feel anything from that kiss. He thinks that Palm is getting into a relationship with Maggie (thanks to her social media diarrhea). So in his mind he doesn’t stand a chance with Palm. Meanwhile, Ben is being nice to him and Nueng feels flattered and curious. Nothing wrong with that.
Now, Nueng’s behavior when drunk would be a huge red flag to me even if I saw him as just a friend. We have a saying “What sober one thinks, the drunk one says”. So when Nueng lost his filter his shitty attitude came out. I really don’t care for an explanation of “he was jealous and wanted to hurt Palm”. It would work for me if he WASN’T drunk 🤷♀️ but not when he was seriously wasted. Oh well, we’ll see…
What kind of “old people dance party” has a bar and drunk young thugs in it and the owner is nowhere to be found? I see what kind of “many businesses” Maggie’s dad owns… 🤦♀️
I'm sorry but Fluke is so bad at playing "straight" character. It's not helping that his character is annoying.
I don’t think he’s playing a straight character. He’s playing a gay character pretending to be straight - there’s a difference in portraying those characters. We do get signs of him being gay from Vee’s gaydar in Mum’s world, and from his own mother in his world giving him “the look” when his dad carries on about the right girlfriend.
Somehow, I think even if Dew honestly told Mint that he wants to break up when she questioned him - the outcome would be the same. That girl is obsessed and doesn’t take NO for an answer as we’ve seen on many occasions. I think she’d be there with that gun either way. Also, if someone tells you they have no expectations from a relationship with you as long as you give it a try - run as fast as you can. They’re lying through their teeth. If they didn’t have any expectations they wouldn’t have offered to have a relationship in the first place! That’s my firm opinion.
