I'm kind of holding a candle for the FL to pull through in the second half. I mean, HER ROLE is one of the major plot of the storyline. and whether we like it or not, it will affect the flow of the story.

The reason why the backlash is on her is because all the other actors/actresses are doing GREAT! ( or it will take more time to see if they suck)
The love confession scene alone makes the comparison very visible. and turn a heartache scene into one of the most cringe-worthy ones.

If this is not a heavy drama but a rom-com or anything lighter, she would be FINE.
but her inferiority is highlighted because she lacks the skills compared to the others.

tbh the agency or anyone who made the decision to put her on this really needs to reflect on themselves. She got a ton of hateful comments on social media. Some is not just criticisms but are outright to hurt her feelings.

this is the reason why many promising actresses get the main lead role on small projects first. Just to test it out and see how people react.
Sure, there were some unicorns that are very talented and can hit it big in their first big budget in drama type stories. but she isn't. and for them to miscalculate this... she will have to face backlash and likely need to go get therapy.

she got main on mini 10 mins series projects and worked her way up since 2018. multiply projects each year. not to talk about auditions she didn't get
lot of experiences.
compare to HSZ It look like she pick her work carefully and only wants to be on big projects only.

then they need someone who can act with micro expressions.

I think Inha really wants to be the heir tho. Or just want toget back at all the people who look down on him.
He was drowning in his inferiority and insecurities before Teaoh showed up. and it really pissed him off when Teaoh saw through it when they first met.
so when Teaoh offered him the chance, he took it.
I don't think he is "evil" evil but he has always drowned in his insecurities. It's not a surprise if h end up doing shitty things just to hold power against people. especially those who are close to him.

I do like the story by far. as it started to show that Inha has always been shady.
the love triangle was annoying me at first but if they make In-Ha darker then it was acceptable.
It's not just some love sick love triangle but shady plan to control teaoh.
Teaoh and Inha power struggle had always been evident from the beginning.
Inha said he wanted a "friend", and Teaoh see how Inha treated his old "Friends" so he smart enough to refuse. then he further challenge Inha superiority(being rich) by offered him a deal that highlight his inferiority.
the deal make their relationship equal.
if Inha is really his father's son and the equality between him and Teaoh really bothers him.
it will explain a lot of things in the first 4 ep.
why he is always "too nice and friendly" (because he wanted to make teaoh emotionally attach to him).
Why he decide to get FL the moment he noticed teaoh feelings toward her. so he can use her to manipulate Teaoh
which is super fun plot to watch. It has everything I like so far
Now I'm certain that I just don't click with the actress at all.

okay. both ML anf FL has 0 chemistry. And as he admit his feeling for her it seems now that she will be his major weakness throught out the show. Damn, cringy AF
I do understand the git of the story, the power struggle between MLs.
But damn...It really ruin my mood watching ML and FL cringy scenes

I have semi crush on him and wish he would get more lead roles in the future.

The female lead definitely needs someone more seasoned. I feel like the role is pretty complex, and you need someone with an aura that can stop the room for it to work.
Hong Su Zu is okay but not the best. she made to FML fall into the background.

She did run back and knock on his door wishing he open. The same goes for him told her to not get with InHa. didn't look like it's really over.
I mean, they try, but whether they can move on or not is another story. and from their scenes when it's only them it look to me like it far from over.
but god I really wish you were right.

well in this kind of trop K-drama love triangle will likely come back to bite them in the ass near the ending. I really hope it did end like you said tho.

The plot is really interesting and the storytelling is very captive but why love triangle???
There's really no other way??? there are way more interesting conflicts than love triangle
this love triangle between best friends been done soooo many time it's so cliché and boring
such a shame.
Anyway, I kinda like the sister character. she's annoying but naïve and innocent at the same time. she's pretty chill. I mean, look at the family that raised her. Even In Ha got a period when he use his power to abuse others. wish they don't turn her into a brainless girl who crazy over Tae Oh

Okay, this show is epic. The writing, acting, costumes, effects, editing, and sound design are all great. sooooo many iconic moment. the costume is bold and iconic.
This is 2024 and I'm kind of shocked I didn't give it a chance sooner.
Many recent big-budget shows pale in comparison to this one.
Eternal Love is one of the classics for me.
