Invigorating drama
This is my first review here. I particularly found this drama really really fun to watch. I loved that there was a distinct mix of characters with various personalities. I particularly loved the banter of wuxin, lei wujie and xiao se. I laughed whenever they did that.The whole friendship theme was really heartwarming and some of the romance as well.
I loved that they also leveled up their powers as well.
There were so many familiar faces and veteran actors which was great.
Ending was satisfying as well.
The only downsides were: they could really have removed half of the romance without affecting the drama in anyway. It was really useless and unnecessary especially xiao se and qiangluo. There were a few minor plotholes and sometimes the music was a bit off.

Blows hot and cold
What i liked:The fight scenes were really awesome
The acting was good enough
The cases they solved were good and well written though a bit dragged out
Some side characters were really awesome
The plot twist was really good, i kept second guessing myself
What i don't like:
The storyline could have been much better
The main characters were not written well, i would have hated the characters if not that the actor and actress pulled it off in a way that made it tolerable
The ending was not good enough, they did not give us any conclusion on the other characters
Too many plot holes, i had to suspend my common sense for a bit.
Overall some aspects were really good but some aspects were not so it's somewhat in the middle for me. The cases was what made me keep watching. Would recommend but definitely not rewatch.

Good twist on this genre
For someone like me who is more into the intense, action-packed style of drama, this drama wasn't so bad. The best thing was the acting. Most of the characters did so well including the Heavenly ml, the evil twin, the side characters were really awesome. The acting was really top-notch. The story wasn't something that was excellent but it was good enough. CGI and cinematography was decent as well. The music was 50/50. Either it was great sometimes or poor sometimes. I did not like any of the fathers in this drama and while the void prince redeemed himself, i still did not like him so much. Overall would recommend to watch. People into the style of drama would probably enjoy it more.Was this review helpful to you?
Female empowerment beautifully told
It's been a long time since I enjoyed a series enough to binge watch it so quickly (in 3 days). I think the best part of this drama was the writing, production and directing. I loved the storyline and the way it was structured. Using creative ways to tell the passage of time and seasons was very creative and felt poetic. Of course all that work would have been wasted without superb acting from the cast. I think one very strong point for this drama is that because the drama wasn't overly focused on just the ml & fl, they did not have to do exceptionally well for the drama to be good (not that they did not do well) but there were so many great side characters with great acting that I enjoyed watching no matter when. I loved the female empowerment theme and how it was portrayed for different women in different situations. The OSTs were so good too, it ekevated the drama.The way the storytelling was done was so so good. Great storyline and storytelling. Ep 39 felt rushed but it was still done creatively. And then this type of drama is usually my favorite type so that helped. It's not overly focused on romance which was great. It's been a while since we had a drama like this. Since story of minglan. It really made me laugh and cry and get angry and get excited and get annoyed and all of the above. Best drama of 2026.Was this review helpful to you?
The tension and anticipation was epic
Great drama!! The actors and actresses really embodied their characters. Great emotional tension. I binge watched it because it was so addictive. Thumbs up to everyone who participated. The storyline was well crafted and executed as well. And amazing acting too. This drama is one of my favorite kdrama thrillers ever. Very few are as good.Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful female empowerment drama about resilience
I don't write reviews regularly unless I am quite impressed. I absolutely loved this drama so so much. The acting was so so good. The chemistry is the best I've seen in a c-drama. The storyline was interesting, the side characters made me laugh. The female empowerment message was inspiring. The only reason it got a 9 instead of 10/10 is that the reason they broke up was too cliche and obvious and because we did not get their wedding at the end.Was this review helpful to you?
Not very impressive
Frankly, the only thing that got me through the last 15 episodes was the storyline and all the time I invested. I skipped a lot as well. Honestly, it was terrible. However it went downhill from the middle. With villains always winning and them turning on and off the smartness of the leads as they liked, it became tiring. No particular character impressed me that much except a few who were not main characters. There was no chemistry at all, skipped their romantic scenes. In conclusion, it is not one I would recommend except you are a fan of one of the leads.Was this review helpful to you?
Watch if you love smart characters
An absolute masterpiece. If you are someone who is into intrigue and mystery like me then I totally recommend. Binge Watched straight for 2 days. Still the best Chinese drama I've ever watched. The acting was so so good. The storyline was so wonderful. The revenge was so planned out brilliantly. Everything was just great. This is a very plot heavy drama with political intrigue, action and barely any romance.Edit: watched this drama multiple times now and it still grips my heart.

Strong female lead
I loved this drama. Writing this review on my second watch. Made me watch it all in less than 2 days. The downsides to this drama is the editing, it wasn't good at all. And another downside was that there were a few parts that were too drawn out. What I liked most was obviously the main leads the fl was so awesome. I especially loved that she wasn't some justice do-gooder. I love characters that aren't so perfect but they are strong and inspiring, she made mistakes and did some dumb things however she was always wonderful. The ml was the calmer one but he wasn't underwhelmed. Itt takes talent to act the part of the quieter one without being forgotten. The chemistry was really good too. Would recommend for those who love awesome female leads like I do. There were comments that kept criticizing her for being too tough, what gibberish!!Was this review helpful to you?

Great cinematography
Overall, it was a good drama. I like the storyline although the villain was predictable. The first half of the drama was really awesome, I loved it so much from the characters to the acting. The second half was a bit all over the place. I feel like they could have done much better with how it played out. The chemistry was decent but I feel like they wasted a lot of potential on an epic romance. There were also too many dumb moments in the second half when they were so smart in the first half. It had a good ending though. The acting was really good too. The ml really did better than I've ever seen him. The little plot twist wasn't too bad as well.Overall an 8/10.
Bonus points as the drama wasn't too long so it did not feel drawn out

Nice drama
Great ending to this drama. It had a good storyline, great acting, good OSTs. The action scenes were really good and I was so happy because I wanted a good drama with action. There is a little bit of romance but it is very little that it adds to the drama without taking away the main theme of martial arts. The two stars were lost because it dragged a bit in some places and there were a few places that it could have been better. It's old but gold. The characters were all unique in their own way and had their own stories. Best of all, there was no weak female with a whiny voice that we had to constantly save. Beautiful storytelling about a woman's life
One of the best Chinese dramas ever produced. It comes a close second to Nirvana in fire in my opinion. The acting was phenomenal from the main couple, second leads, side characters, villains etc. the storyline was really really great. There was no drag or lull but the build-up was pretty good. Chemistry was so good. This drama made me laugh, cry, be excited, be anxious, be sad, smile, be touched. One of the things that struck me the most was that there were so many life lessons that really touched my heart and some I could relate to. I could give this a 100/10. Only 3 cdramas have made my 10 star rating and I've watched quite a lot.Was this review helpful to you?
