I understand the frustration. I think its a culture difference issue. There are some aspects of the Korean culture I find ridiculous too. Like how a wife must address the husband using formal speech but the husband can talk to the wife in informal speech and the same thing with the children. I think its because Korea is a patriarchal society so these things are considered normal to them hence such depictions in kdramas.

I'm curious if you finished it and what are your thoughts now regarding the FL. I can't really remember what I felt 5 episodes in but I feel like I generally understood why the FL was behaving that way. I feel like she had already made her choice but she needed to tread carefully because of her family and the inevitable backlash from them for dating a single father. And the biggest reason was probably that her relationship with Gi Seok was connected to their fathers.

I hate sci-fi and I'm surprised I stayed till the end. Was really looking forward to an apocalyptic movie! 1/10 because I felt deceived.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. That said, I agree with the other comments about how iffy the ending was but I also get it. I just wish they could have put more effort into making the main leads "love" more believable. I also hated that the ML slept with the SFL.

I agree with you about Jung Mi Sook but also, why did it take her 5 business days to get out the cage even though she had the key all along.

I cracked up when the FL matched a fingerprint she got from a bottle to the one from a crime scene even though she did not know which finger it was!

This!!! I miss the well-written sageuk dramas with really good actors and beautiful stories but lately we keep getting rehashed stuff but just with different cast

after the initial excitement for the show wore out, I kinda felt like it was somehow scripted in that they already had a clear winner in their minds...I think its going to be Chef Choi and no offense to Napoli but they probably picked him over Triple star so that Choi gets an easy win that no one would question.

exactly...I really thought they would bring 1 chef back to balance out the numbers especially since they were at a disadvantage timewise. So unfair, and they tried to make it seem like them coming from the other groups was an advantage because they knew their tactics.

I was pissed when he called Chef Austin Kang's food BS. It felt like a personal attack and it was just uncalled for.

They should have a comedy tag on this because that 1st episode was super funny! I binged all the episodes and I can't wait for the next one.
