Persian guy invented the distillation technique so every country in the world should say their favourite distilled drink (Rhum, Vodka, Whiskey, Cognac, Soju, Mei Kuei Lu, Saké, Arak, Arrak, Aragh... ) all originated from Persia, Iran nowadays.

She says that soju originated from arak, an Arab drink. Which is not exact. The mongols brought to Korea the arab technique of distilling and the Arak. The koreans used the technique to create their own beverage the soju. Apart from the alcohol, the ingredients of the two drinks are different and probably changed throughout time.
But I agree she never said she discovered alcohol.
I don’t need to follow MdL ratings to know which are the better shows. A high rating here doesn’t necessarily…
I was not replying to you but to LittleFallOfRain who talked about MDL ratings. I wanted to say rating are not only based on objective criteria, but also subjective ones and it can be biased in the beginning.
Genre is also preference. Some people do not watch medical drama because even if the story is good, the cases presented are caricatural. Some do not watch fantasy. It is not their thing, so it won't be a good time for them.
Maybe you know about directing or sound engineering or editing. So you can criticize the technical problems, the bad audio, or the bad transition. As for me I mostly focus on the story which I find is intriguing and complex and on the characters that I find endearing for the leading ones and interesting for the secondary ones. I hope they will develop properly.
You, me, everyone has his/her opinion on this drama and is free to keep watching or not. If it does not meet your criteria and requirements to be qualified as a drama you can enjoy, then you can just move to another one. Lucky for us there are plenty of krama airing now and airing soon.
The overall rating is quite high, but it shows that the drama is trendy and appreciated. Not only on MDL but also on other drama platforms and forums.

There are sure people who have plenty of time trying to push up a drama they want to promote and drag down a drama they targeted using trolls' methods.

She is not and that's good. It changes from the trope "meets former lover and falls for her again". The former lover will be introduced again but probably with a less endearing personality...

On the contrary, I find the way they are diverting and using the usual concepts and clichés on vampires quite different and refreshing as it is aimed at making things funny. Loved the hospital scene or when he tries to commit suicide.

MDL ratings are not reliable especially the early ones. It does not reflect a global appreciation before 6 or 8 episodes. 8.8 after 4 episodes is quite high. Let's see how it evolves despite the unusual downvoting or upvoting.
People also have their own preferences. There are plenty of kdrama with good rating that I do not even care to watch like The Glory, Dr Romantic, TOTNT 1938, Duty after school, Crash course in Romance ... Rating is clearly not the first criteria to choose a drama to watch.
What I love so far:The premise of the drama. It's certainly a new take on fantasy.Love the FL. SHS is simply good…
I like the second male lead. There is not much things happening with him but his background is interesting: his father, his brother, his links with the ML, the SFL, the chairman. He is a grey character and I hope he will have a good development.
I don't think there is stalking. If people fall in love with a classmate and follow that person or try to find him in the library or at lunch time just to see him, I do not think it is stalking because it does not bring prejudice to that person. Stalking means what you do is known, unwanted, unwelcomed and brings prejudice.
About the age gap, biologically they have a 9 years gap. Which is fine when you are consenting adults. Some argue that she has 600 years of maturity vs 33 years of maturity. But maturity is not like apples that you add. It is a state of mind and a way of behaving that you have or do not have or you pretend to have like the FL said herself.
I am enjoying this drama so far despite a few flaws in the characterization of the FL. Sometime I feel like she is teasing people using her past memories and the knowledge they give to her.
