After that scene, there was a lot of speculations because It was revealed that Bu Yeon's soul was also inside the body of Mudeok. There was a lot of episodes remaining so people thought a one sided love could be possible. But retrospectively, it never happened. So we can say that she liked what she was seeing at that moment but it never developped into a love interest. And she is gone now.

In part 1 they talked honestly to each other and parted with closure. Now they are foolish friends. Yul will not "destroy the house" of his friends Naksu and Uk. He should use his time to cure himself.

Marriage is a process to tell the world or at least the whole society and people that two persons are bound by the link of marriage as per the law of the country. Jang Uk and Bu Yeon say they are married (in private) but that has no legal force. It must be consecrated by a person of authority and registered by Law. And ideally but not necessarily
there must be a marriage party for everyone to see by their own eyes.

So Jang Uk and Bu Yeon's marriage is not done yet. It is always possible that someone with authority like the King, the Queen or the CP, breaks the process.

I thought the plan for Jin Mu was to break Jang Uk and Bu Yeon and make her marry her initial betrothed aka Yul's uncle? I surely wish this drama does not get stuck in marriage proposals and who will steal the bride.

In Part 1 Jang Uk begged Naksu to be his master. Then they came to an agreement that she would train him and he would help her gain her energy back once he is completely trained. Then he slowly fell for her. There was no idea of her proving herself to him first.

In part 2 He and Bu Yeon agree on a marriage to obtain what they want individually. She gains freedom and she will remove the ice stone out of him when she regains her memories and powers. But he is caring for her even if he has no guarantees she will be able to help him. Because he has special feelings for her.

And these are not mixed feelings. He is just trying to manage between these feelings and his lost love. There is nothing wrong in this. Many people lost a great love but still manage to find Love again. And if sometime they think about the one who left, it does not mean they betray the new one who is by their side.

Jang Uk does not do that to hurt Bu Yeon's feelings. It is a part of him. And surprise. It is a part of her too.

He is romantic when he promises to take his lover to the top of that tree or when he hugs her from behind but here, he did this for practical reasons. To light the path for her and to protect her, reassure her until she leaves the woods.

He did not do it to create a romantic atmosphere so they can enjoy being together but ok, they will have their romantic moments. Lots of them hopefully.

If we abstract the fact that Naksu/Bu Yeon is Naksu/Mudeok , what is happening between Uk and Bu Yeon is very normal and cute.

Is it so weird that a man who distanced himself from people and confined himself in solitude because a lost love and personal circumstances is shaked by a cute direct girl who forces him out of his shell?

Can't he like her and deal with the memories of his past love at the same time? People build themselves on the remnants of past experiences too and there is no wrong in thinking about a person you lost if you respect and love your new partner.

It is because she did not or could not sign to be in it.

If you are lazy watching part 1 or you have no time, you can read the episodes guide. It will be faster and you will have an overall overview before starting part 2. But I recommend you to watch. It is better to be invested in the characters.

Can people choose or control who they fall in love with. It just happens for some reasons. Jang Uk is still attached to the memories he has of Mudeok and he is still in deny of her death. But a new girl appeared and he has an urge to help her and protect her. He says it is because he needs to use her but he is emotionally involved with her now.

We viewers see a lot of Mudeok in Bu Yeon but for me he doesn't see anyone in Bu Yeon. He is just drawn to her.

They are fated lovers since their birth.

Story wise the transition even with the time jump is smooth and well made. They could have aired this part 2 in the continuity of Part 1.

How is it possible to cheat on a supposedly dead person?

These people should do the exercice of following the different steps and the evolution of FL life based on a linear timeline. Starting with her birth as daughter of a mage astonomist, family killed, pupil and instrument of Jin Mu, teen friend of Yul, cheeky assassin... and so on until she becomes Bu Yeon from Jinyowon and then bride in Jang Family. They will better see that it is the same soul/person with different appearances. The transitions are well explained and logic.

Technically three actresses including the kid one played the FL and they all did a good job.

Loved her in the different situations she has been put in so far. Also waiting for the moment she will enter in action against the bad guys.

It depends on the remaining eps if they are good. Fingers crossed they will be.
